Review A
[Most Satisfied] The LEVC TX used to be a common British taxi in the UK, full of retro charm. You can see its strong British style from its appearance. The front face features a square air intake grille design with a blackened interior, and round headlight groups on both sides, which creates an interesting visual effect. The side profile is different from the typical boxy shape of traditional MPVs. The side of the LEVC TX looks rather rounded. It's worth mentioning that its door-opening method is quite special, adopting a design where the front and rear doors open towards each other, which adds a sense of ceremony when opening the doors.
[Riding Experience] The length, width, and height of the LEVC TX are 4866/1945/1880mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2986mm. The interior uses a design that separates the driver's cabin from the passenger compartment. The opposite-opening door design makes the interior space appear more spacious. It has a 2+2+3 seat layout, and the rear seats are generously designed, offering a relatively comfortable seating experience.
[Driving Experience] In terms of power, the 2023 all-electric version of the LEVC TX has a maximum output power of 163Ps. In the current new energy market, the power is a bit on the small side. It has a CLTC pure-electric driving range of 410 kilometers, which is sufficient for daily commuting.
Review B
After I took this taxi once, seriously, I really don't want to take other taxis anymore. However, apart from this seven - seater model with a 1+3+3 opposite - facing layout for taxi/ride - hailing scenarios, it is said that Geely Emgrand will also launch a comfortable and family - friendly five - seater model with a 2+3 layout in the future, as well as a seven - seater model with a 2+2+3 forward - facing layout for business travel scenarios. Currently, the TX5 comes in two versions: extended - range and pure - electric. The one we're experiencing now is the extended - range version, which is equipped with a Volvo 1.5T engine. It has a pure - electric range of 120 km and a total range of 550 km. Actually, for this kind of taxi, power isn't the core part of the user experience; smoothness is the key. And when sitting inside this car, it really does feel very smooth and quite comfortable. As long as the passengers are satisfied, that's okay, right? Then, the pure - electric version has a range of 410 km, and the car and battery can be sold separately, which makes the purchase cost lower. Also, for taxi and ride - hailing drivers, time is money, right? The pure - electric version supports battery - swapping. Firstly, you don't have to worry about battery degradation. Secondly, battery swapping can be completed in 90 seconds. The saved time might even allow you to take a few more orders, right? Moreover, the pure - electric version also supports vehicle - to - vehicle charging. If you've driven far and can't swap the battery, it's quite convenient to call a fellow driver over for an emergency or a rescue, isn't it? Many small details in the design are really satisfying: First, there are two air vents in the front and two in the back, four in total. Second, when you open the armrest, there are cup holders, wireless phone chargers, and storage compartments, and there's also a charging port on each side. Third, the back of the cockpit uses a high - transparency partition, and the view is really good.
Review C
I guess many people are quite unfamiliar with this brand. In fact, it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geely Group. Previously, its vehicles were mainly used as taxis in the European market. Now, taking advantage of the booming domestic MPV market, it has introduced the new LEVC TX with a strong British style. Its appearance is truly distinctive. The simple headlight design is paired with a rectangular air intake grille. The voluminous minivan-like body on the side adds a bit of a disjointed feeling to the whole. The coach door design similar to that of Rolls-Royce is very unique. The retro elements at the rear of the car echo those at the front. It is believed that this special design can attract many consumers who pursue a sense of nostalgia. With a body length of 4866mm and a wheelbase of 2986mm, the 1+3+3 seven-seat layout of the car seems a bit cramped. It is worth mentioning that there is only one driver's seat in the front row of this car, the front passenger area is a storage room, and the second-row seats are simply foldable. After being opened, passengers in the three rows can sit face to face. The layout of the in-car center console is mediocre. The slanted center console large screen gives a feeling of being too simple and lacking in design aesthetics. In terms of power, this car is equipped with a range-extended power system. The maximum output of the electric motor is 120kW, and the range extender is a 1.5T three-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 120kW.
