It's been two weeks since I got the car, and here are my specific feelings:
1. Appearance:
First and foremost, it's definitely the looks of the X9. It has a strong sense of future technology. Coupled with its headlights and taillights, it truly deserves the name "Starship". Moreover, it grows on you, and the more you look at it, the more you like it.
2. Space 1.0:
It's big, really big! For someone like me who has driven a hot - hatch for over a decade, sitting in this big guy makes me feel that everything is large. I'm 1.84 meters tall. Before, I used to huddle in the car. Now... my feet are comfortable, and the headroom is great. I can get as comfortable as I want without being cautious at all. When adjusting the seat, I no longer need to consider leaving space for the rear passengers. The seating space in the second and third rows is also very large. The night I picked up the car, we had a full - load of seven people going to a restaurant, and my family members kept saying how comfortable it was!
3. Configuration:
Since it's usually just our family of three in daily life, the comfort of the "queen" (my wife) and the "princess" (my daughter) must be maximized. So I opted for the cockpit upgrade. After using it for these days, it's just one word: awesome! The big TV is playing "PAW Patrol". I lie down in the zero - gravity mode, feeling the coolness without a sense of wind, and sipping a Wahaha AD calcium milk from the fridge... Tell me, isn't it awesome!
4. Space 2.0:
After getting the car, I've got a new "job", which is being a magician. I take my relatives and friends to the rear of the car and perform the magic of folding down the third - row seats with one click. Then I can see their jaws dropping, haha! I have to say that after hiding the third - row seats, the 7 - seater instantly turns into a super - comfortable 4 - seater. I don't have to worry about not having enough space when going to Sam's Club anymore!
5. Now, I have to talk about the active rear - wheel steering, which is usually only found in million - yuan luxury cars. As a huge vehicle, the most intuitive feeling I've had in these two weeks is that it's as if I'm still driving my small, nimble car. It's really flexible, especially when making a U - turn. Several times, the SUV in front needed two maneuvers to turn around, but I only needed one. Then my wife would keep shouting "666" from the back!
6. Energy consumption, range, and charging:
I have the 702MAX version. I usually drive in the city and rarely go on the highway except when accompanying my wife to her parents' place. So the energy consumption should not be too high. I haven't calculated the range discount rate because I've been spending a lot of time in the car doing various research recently, and a lot of the electricity was consumed when the car was stationary (my little daughter was watching TV). I'll study the range situation carefully the next time I go to my in - laws' place. The first time I charged the car was after a week of driving, when the battery level dropped to 18%. Since my little daughter had a dance class on the weekend, I found a fast - charging station nearby. It really charges very fast. I set it to charge up to 90%, and it took a total of 31 minutes.
7. Intelligent assisted driving:
Finally, it has to be XPeng's intelligent driving system. As an old gasoline - car driver, I used to be resistant to intelligent driving and even very averse to it. But all that changed after the test drive. So after getting the car, I immediately took the novice courses and exams. Finally, after 7 days and 100 kilometers on the novice route, I completed the novice tasks and got a little medal!
Just from these 100 kilometers on the novice route, I've felt the charm of XNGP. I can describe it like this: When the NGP mode is activated, the X9 is like a cautious old driver, handling situations very steadily. Sometimes, the system takes over, probably because I'm a bit nervous.

I made a blind reservation in December 2023 and decided to confirm the order on January 3rd. Since I chose the 702 pro version without any optional features, I picked up the car on January 20th. Before that, I had looked at the Denza D9 and the Voyah Dreamer. The Denza made the passengers in the back seat feel dizzy. The Voyah Dreamer had good handling, but I thought its exterior design was a bit old - fashioned. I never thought about buying a pure - electric MPV and always focused on plug - in hybrid or extended - range vehicles.Unexpectedly, the X9 caught my attention!¡± And after the X9 was launched, its price was quite reasonable, so I didn't hesitate to make a full - scale reservation. I have two kids at home, and now the back row has become their territory.
Space: Usually, there are four people in my family. In the four - seat mode, the trunk is big enough (very large). I haven't had the chance to experience the back row. I can only sit there for a while when I go out to charge the car. The one - key folding and storage function of the third - row seats is very convenient. There was once a situation where the seats couldn't be stored, but the after - sales service solved it perfectly!
Driving and handling: I usually use the comfort mode. The power is relatively stable, and it drives like an SUV. Thanks to the rear - wheel steering system, it's very convenient to make a U - turn. In a place where I used to have to reverse once with my previous car to complete a U - turn, the X9 can do it in one go. When I'm driving alone, I use the sport mode, and the power is strong.
Charging: I have a slow - charging pile at home, but it's basically idle now. I often use the fast - charging stations' off - peak electricity outside. One charge can last for 5 - 6 days. In spring, the power consumption is basically between 15 - 17 kW, and in winter, it's 20 - 23 kW.
High - speed driving: I have the pro version, which only has high - speed NGP, but it's enough. During the Spring Festival when I went back to my hometown, the whole journey was more than 500 kilometers, and 90% of the way was assisted driving. It was much easier. Lane - changing, acceleration, and deceleration are all good. It would be better if the NGP braking distance could be a bit longer in advance! Otherwise, it's a bit scary.
Noise: The noise is acceptable below 120 km/h. It's a bit more obvious above 120 km/h, but it's still within the normal range and much better than my previous gasoline - powered car.
High - speed power consumption: I think it's more energy - efficient to drive at a speed of 110 - 120 km/h on the highway than on low - speed roads! So I'm very confident when driving on the highway.
WLTP range: Now, the actual range is almost the same as the rated range, and I'm very satisfied.
On - board refrigerator: I haven't used it much yet because the weather isn't very hot. I can use it to chill drinks when summer comes.
Rear - row entertainment screen: I often use iQiyi. 10G of data is given every month, which is just enough! This screen seems to be one of the better - looking ones among several MPVs (with a narrow frame). The only drawback is the car - machine hotspot. After turning it on, if the phone wants to use the car - machine data, the car - machine projection page can't be closed. If you open other pages, the hotspot will automatically turn off.
Monthly expenses: There are many TeLaiDian fast - charging stations near my home. The off - peak electricity costs 0.59 yuan per kilowatt - hour. On average, 150 - 200 yuan per month is enough.
About after - sales service: Thanks to the door - to - door car pick - up and delivery service, I don't have to go to the 4S store specifically. I've used this service once.
Overall evaluation: I'm satisfied!

Car purchase experience:
This year, my wife got the license plate for an electric car. Originally, the plan was to buy a BYD Seagull to secure a spot. Later, we felt that we needed a car for the whole family. The X9 is almost the cheapest seven - seat MPV. It's also much more comfortable than the cheaper seven - seat SUVs.
After comparing multiple dealers (which is very important), I chose the one with the lowest price and placed an order. The car arrived in about a week. But after the maintenance the other day, this 4S store advised me to have the car maintained every 5000 kilometers. Well, whatever.
Advantages:
1. The in - car entertainment facilities are complete. Now I can play Switch in the car. It's great!!!
2. It has a small turning radius. With the rear - wheel steering, its turning radius is similar to that of a Lavida, which comes in handy when making a U - turn or parking.
3. It has a large space and offers a comfortable ride. With the rear seats folded down, it can carry four bicycles.
4. The chassis height can be adjusted within a wide range. It's less likely to scrape the bottom, and it's also more convenient to access the trunk.
5. After the large sofa - like seats are folded down, it's extremely comfortable to take a nap at noon.
