【Space Performance】
The overall space is among the most spacious in its class. For a car of this size, I personally tested that it can hold more than the Odyssey, especially when the third-row seats are folded flat, making it feel like a bicycle can fit. Even when not folded, it can easily accommodate two of my kids' scooters.
The second-row space is also very good, with seats featuring leg rests that can be adjusted to stretch out and lean back comfortably. The third-row space is relatively smaller but not like a small bench because the backrest can be reclined backward.
【Range and Energy Consumption】
I am in Qingdao. Actual range: picked up the car in September; from October to early November, it could reliably run about 120 kilometers in pure electric mode. My commute to work is approximately 60 kilometers one way, with highway, expressway, and urban roads each accounting for a third. Cruising at 100 km/h on the highway and 80 km/h on the expressway, both with cruise control, the energy consumption performance was quite satisfactory.
Now in winter, pure electric mode can reach my workplace (about 60 km), and after that, the WLTC range is estimated to be another 40 km, but in reality, it feels like only 20 km at most, which means the battery is almost depleted. For fuel consumption, during several highway trips home, the system forces 80% battery retention, and when switching to pure electric mode near the city, the dashboard shows 5-6 liters/100 km, though actual consumption is probably around 6-7 liters/100 km, which is roughly accurate.
【Driver Assistance】
The driver assistance performs well, capable of avoiding large vehicles, with features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.

Charging: slow charging takes about 3 hours to complete, and fast charging takes approximately 30 minutes.

Before buying a car, I looked at models like the Elysion and Odyssey. Even the top configurations of joint-venture cars still have underwhelming interiors and features. I accidentally came across the Trumpchi E8 and felt good after a test drive. Later, I赶上a scrap subsidy policy and planned to buy it in August, but the installment plan didn't get approved, so I waited. It turned out the wait was worthwhile because the E8+ was launched, and I decisively bought it before National Day. Exterior: I originally wanted white, but the white front face looked a bit awkward, so I finally chose a black body with a black interior. The exterior is elegant and耐看, but the downside is it's not dirt-resistant, and the black paint is prone to swirl marks, so I chose to apply a隐形车衣. After applying the film, the brightness improved. Interior: Of course, it can't compare to the E9, but it's several notches above cars in the same price range. If a full score is 100, I can give it 90 points. The upgraded small table and the installed TV are very practical for long trips. Driving experience: Overall, it's very smooth and easy to drive, without the feeling that large cars are hard to handle. My family bought a small car last year, and my family always thinks this one is much easier to drive. Fuel consumption: I drove a long distance during National Day, and the highway fuel consumption was a little over five (I used强制保电 mode). One drawback: When the battery level is in the initial stage below 20%, the engine is very loud, and it shows that it's driving the vehicle while charging the battery. It feels like the engine is just starting to warm up. But this time is very short. After that, it uses electricity for starting and parking, and switches to fuel when the speed increases, which is good. Another drawback: After this upgrade, every time I open the door, the infotainment system volume is extremely loud. I hope the manufacturer will adjust this in future updates. Finally, the price: There were no other discounts except the manufacturer's trade-in subsidy. The rest were loan installment benefits, and the price was relatively transparent.

Picked up the car in May 2025. Been关注 it for half a year, the price hasn't changed much. I was关注 the Odyssey before the New Year, then I关注 the E8 and found that it had all the features I wanted. I wanted a green license plate, to use electricity in the city, a flat-folding trunk, seat massage function... This car has them all. Other cars either have higher prices or lower configurations. Maybe it's because I just picked it up, but I like everything about it now. I was used to driving a small car before, so it took me two days to get used to driving such a big car. Our family had a second child this year, and the space in the previous small car was always tight. I originally planned to place the order in the off-season around June or July, or maybe October, because I had already visited various 4S stores and the prices I inquired about were basically at the bottom. Coincidentally, there was an auto show in Shijiazhuang during the May Day holiday, so I went to check it out. The salesperson was quite good. I mentioned a price that I thought wouldn't be acceptable, and the salesperson said it was 5,000 yuan higher than my offer, asking me to go to the store to discuss and apply in detail. As a result, when I went there, the price not only didn't reach my expectation but was also 7,000 to 8,000 yuan higher. Actually, the price was about the same. I approached the salesperson with the attitude that I might not make a deal and negotiated for free gifts to find psychological balance. In the end, the salesperson compromised step by step, and I placed the order. What I'm not satisfied with is that it's better to confirm whether the negotiated free gifts are what you want. I didn't confirm the style of the floor mats, and once I paid, I had no leverage to ask for changes. Now it is what it is. The eldest child is very satisfied with this car; as soon as he gets in, he asks Xiaoqi to sit there. The TV hasn't been installed yet; I估计 he'll be even more excited once it's installed. When the moon is full, it wanes; no car is perfect. After driving it, I noticed that the door panel on the left slide rail is slightly protruding. There's nothing I can do about it; I'll ask the mechanic to see if it can be adjusted during maintenance. Also, as mentioned online, there's no radio; it can only use internet radio, and you can listen to national stations. Haven't been on the highway yet; the assisted driving feels a bit useless. I don't expect it to provide much assistance anyway; after all, with current technology, humans are still more reliable. The in-car software is too few, just a handful. The rear seat folding feels like the headrest and the car body are too tight; it rubs against the headrest noticeably, which is distressing. I went to see the Xia (Note: should refer to another model). At that time, the salesperson tried to operate the electric seat folding but it didn't respond. I think mechanical ones are more reliable. The Xia has a stronger business vibe. Then there's the range. In Hebei in May, without aggressive driving, the electricity consumption can be 17-18 kWh per 100 kilometers. When driving aggressively, the pushing back feeling is obvious, and the power is good. I've barely used any gasoline. I added 200 yuan when I first bought the car, and the range was over 400 kilometers; it's still over 400 now. The free dash cam is not satisfactory; it's not hidden enough. I've only had it for less than ten days, so that's about it. I'm quite satisfied with the car; I think it's very good. Friends all say that after buying this car, there will be no end to people borrowing it. That's probably the only pain point.
