Review A

Advantages: It works quite well on highways. The logic when driving on highways is that it switches to pure electric mode when the battery level drops to approximately 30%, and then basically maintains it around 30%. The 2.0T power is sufficient. Recently, I took a 600-kilometer highway trip, often driving at 150-160 km/h. When the speed is above 140 km/h, the engine noise is relatively loud, but it is powerful and acceptable. City driving is comfortable; when switching to sports mode on highways, the steering and suspension are also satisfactory. The sound insulation is much better than that of Japanese cars. When the average highway speed is over 120 km/h, the average fuel consumption is about 9.5-10L, and it can be lower if driven more slowly. The sound system is also decent, but the default steering wheel control for Kugou Music is very annoying. This car is mainly used as a family car, occasionally for long business trips and holiday outings, and overall, I am quite satisfied.
Disadvantages: The infotainment system is usable but not exactly user-friendly; encountering some minor bugs can be annoying. Personally, I think the seats are not soft enough. The pure electric range is a bit short; if it could be equipped with a high-capacity battery of 50 kWh, it would be more perfect as there would be no need to charge frequently in the city. The second-row seating space is acceptable, but the trunk is indeed a bit small. The turning radius feels a bit large.

Review B

As for the driving experience, since I rarely drive other cars and used to drive my dad's Toyota RAV4, this car is definitely more enjoyable to drive. They are not products of the same era. The power acceleration with the 2.0T engine is completely fine. The sport mode is especially exciting, with strong acceleration. However, the daily comfort and eco modes are sufficient. It is recommended to test drive more to feel for yourself. The driver's field of vision is particularly good; the large front windshield is very comfortable. And the fuel consumption is even more impressive. You can check the fuel consumption chart I posted. In real battery-depleted mode, driving 150 kilometers on the highway with a full load of 7 people plus a lot of luggage. To brag a bit, I worry every month about how to use up the fuel. Up to now, I've driven 3300 kilometers, added 500 yuan worth of fuel, and still have about 100 yuan left unused 😓. I basically drive it as an electric car. For the pure electric range, the official data is 136 kilometers. I usually drive with the air conditioning on all the time, and I can basically get at least 100 kilometers each time, with an estimated maximum of around 110 kilometers, though I haven't tested it. Here's a little summer driving tip: when driving long distances, set a battery preservation mode and leave about 4-5 degrees of electricity to use the air conditioning when parking and resting. Otherwise, using the air conditioning while parked in battery-depleted mode is quite fuel-consuming. The fuel consumption performance in the city is also good. In battery-depleted mode, it's basically around 5-7. I drive gently and don't step hard on the accelerator, so this may not apply to everyone. I've rambled on a lot and don't know if anyone will read this, but that's about it. I'll continue to add more next time I have time. And I hope there will be more and more E9 owners. There are already 5 M8 owner groups, but the E9 group hasn't reached 100 people yet. Looking forward to everyone joining to chat and扯淡 together.

Regretted buying it after two months

Clickbait title, but I really regret buying it too early. The 2025 facelifted E9 has many features I like, including zero-gravity seats, headrest speakers, improved charging speed, and many minor configurations added.

Let me share my experience after using the car for two months; I've already driven 10,000 kilometers in two months.

There's not much to say about the space of the E9; all MPVs have large space. With the rear seats not folded down but only moved forward, it should easily fit 4 26-inch suitcases, but then the third row can't seat anyone. If you still want to use it as a seven-seater, the rear cargo space becomes very tight. If used as a four-seater, it's incredibly spacious; as a seven-seater under normal conditions, the trunk is a bit small. The third row is also very comfortable for passengers with ample legroom. For our daily trips, it's two people plus a lot of camping gear, so the third row is basically used for storage, and we often sleep in the car. With 90% battery, running the air conditioning all night is no problem. The front seats can be folded down to connect with the second row to form a bed, which is okay for a凑合 sleep; or during driving, fold down the front passenger seat to create a "super passenger seat". If you want to sleep comfortably in the car, you can customize a mattress, making the space very large for short trips without needing a hotel. In terms of the chassis, it performs well on highways and city roads—very stable and comfortable; you can clearly feel the road texture when encountering uneven rural roads. The sound insulation is decent, but there's still wind and tire noise; I'd give it 80 points.

The L2 assisted driving becomes quite labor-saving and worry-free after getting familiar with it. Using the assistance does make driving easier but can make you drowsy. I once drove 1,000 kilometers on the highway and didn't feel tired: just keep an eye on the road, rest your hands on the steering wheel, and relax your whole body—it's like taking a high-speed train, really easy and quite reliable.

For such a big car, the fuel consumption on the highway is around 6.2–6.5L/100km, which feels very low. In terms of electricity consumption, it feels like it's 90% efficient below 80 km/h; when the dashboard shows 130 km/h, actually driving around 115 to 120 should be fine, and the electricity consumption on the highway is probably 70% efficient. Some fellow car owners have achieved a combined range of 1,000 kilometers by maintaining battery charge and switching between gasoline and electric power. The above data are based on personal driving experience and not rigorous; fellow car owners can correct me. In the city, I always use it as an electric vehicle. Electricity is indeed cheap, but the battery is small, requiring frequent charging, and the engine makes a bit of noise when it kicks in. Resting in the back row while charging is also quite comfortable. The manufacturer provided a home charging pile, and my application and installation were completely free without spending a penny; only the excess materials were charged as additional fees.

Why choose Trumpchi? I think many people are attracted by its good-looking exterior; I personally find it more youthful and sharp-looking. I also looked at Denza and Voyah, but their exteriors and interiors weren't my type.

The infotainment system does need improvement; the new version should be getting better, but the current older version can only perform simple operations. I don't use smart features much either—mainly navigation and music on a daily basis, and the sound quality is decent.

The driving feel on electric power isn't like a pure electric car. The power is very good and smooth; when switching modes, the speed picks up instantly without the uncomfortable feeling of pure electric cars. It's really stable at high speeds—I've driven at 150 km/h, and the handling is indeed stable.

Overall, it feels more and more顺手 the more I drive it, and my family also likes it very much. The only issue is that the car is too big, making it easy to scratch on narrow roads. I bought the Champion Edition; the top configuration has many things that might be unnecessary, but if the budget allows, go for it—the higher the configuration, the more enjoyable it is. Families with children are recommended to get the top configuration. The service from the manufacturer and 4S店 is also very good. I can't really name obvious缺点 for now; there are quite a lot of plastic parts in the interior, which looks a bit plain without a very premium or comfortable feel. The car is quite good in terms of safety. Overall, it's quite average, with some unexpectedly useful small features. If I had to choose again, I would still pick the E9 in the same price range.
