Review A

First, let's talk about power. The engine power of the AMG GT PHEV isn't actually the strongest, but don't forget it also has a rear-mounted electric motor with 204 horsepower. Combined, the total horsepower exceeds 800, and the 0-100 km/h acceleration time bursts into under 3 seconds. When starting, if the engine hasn't fully kicked in yet, the rear-mounted electric motor steps in to help, ensuring continuous power output. In the mid-to-high speed range, that 4.0T high-horsepower engine comes into play, guaranteeing strong power at high speeds. Next, let's discuss the chassis. The weight distribution of the AMG GT PHEV is particularly good, balanced front, middle, and rear, as well as left and right. This kind of design is quite rare among other sports cars. In terms of handling, the AMG GT PHEV also has a lot to offer. It's the only one among these sports cars with a four-wheel drive system, not for off-roading, but for better traction and stability, making you more stable when starting or cornering, like flying close to the ground. Moreover, it has a rear axle limited-slip differential, allowing you to perform various drifting maneuvers during spirited driving, which is a lot of fun. After talking about the fun part, let's chat about daily use. The AMG GT PHEV also has advantages in daily use. After all, except for the DB11, the others are two-seaters, and having an extra seat is always better. Furthermore, this car has L2-level autonomous driving functionality; automatic following significantly reduces driving fatigue when cruising on the highway. The in-car chip and central control screen are also the best among these luxury cars, using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, and the screen is also the largest. However, when it comes to Mercedes' smart entertainment system, we shouldn't hold out too much hope, as other sports cars simply don't have this function and configuration at all. Some people ask why the AMG GT PHEV is only equipped with a small 6.1 kWh battery and can't get a green license plate? This car wasn't originally designed for our domestic market, so green license plates were naturally not in consideration. Besides, a larger battery would make the car heavier, affecting speed, and for a sports car, speed is definitely the top priority. Simply put, this battery is specifically for the rear motor; enough to start is sufficient, and the rest is handled by that 4.0T AMG engine. In summary, the AMG GT PHEV is indeed a performance monster built with gasoline-electric hybrid technology, and its playability is top-notch. It's definitely worth checking out among these sports cars. What do you think of the AMG GT PHEV? Anyway, I really like it a lot. Haha, but I must also admit that my ability is indeed far from enough.

Review B

At its core is a 4.0-liter V8 engine, and under the hood of the AMG GT E-Performance, a permanent magnet synchronous motor is fitted. The high-performance battery is independently developed by Mercedes. The combined system output of the motor and V8 reaches an incredible 843 horsepower, with a maximum torque of up to 1,400 Newton-meters. These are impressive figures, showing that electric power has become part of AMG's most powerful production model to date.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, reach 200 km/h in less than 10 seconds, and has a top speed of an astonishing 316 km/h. The electric motor is positioned on the rear axle and drives a two-speed transmission with an electric shift mechanism. When developing the GT E-Performance, it was clear that all key components should be developed in-house by AMG. The main focus here was on the high-performance battery. The battery's design is inspired by Mercedes-AMG's Formula 1 hybrid racing cars and draws on relevant expertise. The result is an ideal balance between available power and weight, thereby enhancing performance.

The battery has a capacity of 70 kWh and can deliver a peak power of 150 kW within 10 seconds. It weighs only 89 kilograms, with a power density of 1.7 kW/kg.

As the top-of-the-line version of the model series, the AMG GT 63 E-Performance is particularly well-equipped. Of course, everything featured in the younger facelifted models is also included here. The vehicle is also equipped with AMG ceramic high-performance brakes and, as standard, the MBUX system with a dedicated hybrid display.

The instrument cluster shows the motor's power range, power and torque, energy consumption, as well as the battery and motor temperatures.

You can also personalize many parts of the interior. Unique body colors can emphasize the AMG GT's sportiness or luxury, depending on your needs. Top-quality Nappa leather is available with a variety of color details to choose from.
