¡¾Car Buying Experience¡¿
Now it's the era of new energy. Basically, 8 out of 10 people in our unit drive electric cars. It feels like fuel-powered cars are not attractive at all. I used to prefer fuel cars, but now I'm¶¯ҡ and want to buy a new energy vehicle too.
To buy a satisfactory new energy car, I looked at many popular models, including Li Auto L8, BYD, AITO and other new energy models. Later, after carefully comparing price, performance, power and other aspects, I still think AITO M8 has a higher cost performance. The car is large and the seats are more comfortable. Compared with other models of the same level and price, AITO M8 is fully equipped. Although it's not the top configuration, this configuration is not much different from the top one. Moreover, its appearance is very fashionable and the interior is very comfortable. I fell in love with it during the test drive. When I bought it, I chose the black-orange two-tone interior, which is very eye-catching.

¡¾Space Performance¡¿
The overall interior space is quite spacious, especially the front and second-row seating spaces are very sufficient, and the comfort of the seats is also worthy of recognition. It can easily seat 6 adults. However, the third-row seat is more like an emergency use, suitable for short trips and not for long-time riding. The trunk space is also flexible. Usually, the third row is not used much. When the third row is folded down for daily travel, the trunk storage capacity is spacious enough to meet household needs.

¡¾Interior¡¿
The interior workmanship and materials are excellent. The center console design is simple and atmospheric, and the materials also look very high-end. The seats are very comfortable, with good wrapping and support. However, some physical buttons in the car are a bit cumbersome and not as convenient to operate as the touch screen.

¡¾Power Performance¡¿
The power is sufficient and acceleration is easy, especially the start is very brisk in pure electric mode. The steering is soft but not loose, the chassis is biased towards comfort, and it filters road vibrations well. Although the car is large, it doesn't feel difficult to drive.

¡¾Drawbacks¡¿
The understanding ability of the voice assistant needs to be improved. Xiaoyi may not accurately understand and execute commands, and there will be cases of irrelevant answers or wrong execution.

¡¾Car Buying Experience¡¿
Since there aren't that many people in the family, there was no need to buy the six-seat version, so I chose the five-seat version for a better riding experience.
Initially, I compared the top trim of the Li Auto L7 and the hybrid top trim of the Navigator. The Navigator's configuration was not advantageous compared to new energy vehicles, so it was eliminated. The Li Auto L7 was slightly inferior to the AITO M8 in terms of intelligent driving assistance and multi-device ecosystem connectivity.
It should be noted that the waiting period for the car was quite long, almost two and a half months.

¡¾Space Performance¡¿
With a wheelbase of 3.1 meters and being a five-seat model, every seat in the car is an ultimate enjoyment. The rear passenger space is extremely spacious; I am 1.8 meters tall, and I can easily cross my legs in the back seat. There is a distance of about a forearm from the knee position forward.
The noise insulation of this car is very well controlled; it is quieter than the Li Auto L7 on the same road section.

¡¾Range and Energy Consumption¡¿
After using it so far, the range is basically up to standard. A full charge can run about 230KM. I haven't tested the range with a full charge and full tank, so I can't comment on that.

¡¾Driver Assistance¡¿
This was the most important factor for me when buying this car. Huawei's intelligent driving assistance is really smooth. Although it still requires driver intervention in a very small number of complex road sections (such as roundabouts), it is sufficient to handle most situations.

¡¾Smart Cockpit¡¿
Huawei's vehicle system speaks for itself. What I'm most satisfied with is the multi-deviceЭͬ»¥Áª (xi¨¦t¨®ng h¨´li¨¢n - collaborative interconnection). The Super Desktop allows the use of mobile phone applications, which has brought me a good experience.

¡¾Charging Time¡¿
In actual experience, it took about 40 minutes to charge from 25% to 100%.

¡¾Interior¡¿
Interior part:
Almost all the places you can touch are soft. The large area of leather wrapping is very comfortable. The softness and support of the seats are reasonably controlled, not as soft as the Li Auto L7.
The triple screens in the front row look full of technology, but at night, the screen reflects on the side windows, making the rearview mirror not very clear.

Handling and safety are the most important factors for me to buy the M8. It has been exactly 3 years since I bought the M5 in 2022 and now picked up the M8, both on May 29th. The M5 once had a tire blowout at 120 km/h on the highway, but the steering was stable and it stopped safely, which made me feel that it did not disappoint me back then. After picking up the M8, I encountered two accidents on the highway: once there was an angle steel on the road, I passed smoothly, and there were two cars parked nearby with hazard lights on, probably having problems; the second time there was a piece of wood on the road, I couldn't avoid it and had to run over it directly, and also passed smoothly. I only felt relieved after checking that the vehicle was fine. The handling of the M8 in occasional situations can still provide a certain guarantee, which is one of the reasons why I bought it again.

I only used the intelligent driving a few times briefly. It feels usable but not very good, and some logics I can't understand. This aspect needs to be quickly followed up and improved through OTA. I only use it occasionally and still feel more at ease holding the steering wheel myself. After all, it's a family car, and when traveling, it's the whole family. I dare not try to let go completely without legal permission, so I didn't do accurate tests.

I have driven 2500 kilometers so far and haven't tested the real full fuel and full electricity state. The electricity consumption in the urban area is basically 23 to 24, and the electricity consumption at 120 km/h on the highway is about 27. The hybrid fuel consumption in the high-speed state is about 9 liters, slightly higher than expected, but driving pleasure is more important. Considering the difference of one or two cents per kilometer is meaningless. I will test a long trip with full fuel and full electricity later and then release the results.

Beauty is justice, and the extended-range hybrid is also very practical. The minor issue is that the trunk is small when there are people sitting in the third row. Overall, it's very enjoyable to use the car for a month. I hope the official will continue to push updates to the vehicle system and make it better and better.
