    ¡¾Car Purchase Experience¡¿
    I've always been keeping an eye on the Hongqi brand. My old car was a Passat that I'd driven for 10 years. Initially, I considered getting a Hongqi H5 if I were to switch to a fuel-powered car. Later, after discussing with my family, we decided to go for an electric vehicle because it would mainly be used for urban commuting, without range anxiety, and we already have another fuel-powered car at home. Coincidentally, Hongqi launched this model on a pure electric platform this year, so I've been closely following it. I test-drove the BYD Seal EV and Sea Lion 07 EV. To be honest, in terms of handling, Hongqi is slightly inferior to the Seal EV, and the other aspects are quite similar. However, I couldn't resist Hongqi's great policies - lifetime free maintenance, lifetime whole-vehicle warranty, lifetime battery warranty, lifetime free roadside assistance, and a high - value 3-year interest-free offer. Coupled with my positive impression of the Hongqi brand, I finally chose this car.
    ¡¾Space Performance¡¿
    The interior seating space is very large. The rear seats are quite spacious. While other brands measure the remaining rear space in terms of fist widths, Hongqi's rear space can be measured by the length of an arm. However, the trunk and front compartment spaces are really small, and there's no sunken space in the trunk. This aspect needs improvement. Now, let's talk about the panoramic sunroof. This car actually doesn't have an electronic sunshade, and you have to install a sunshade for the sunroof separately.
    ¡¾Intelligent Cockpit¡¿
    Hongqi's in - car system is very smooth, but the app store is empty with no software, only some pre - installed apps by the car system. The commonly used ones are the navigation app and Kugou Music. A few days ago, after the system update, Beihu Children's Songs and Kugou Music were added. I hope that the subsequent system development can be more comprehensive and diverse. It's a bit of a pity that this car doesn't have a sentry mode, and currently, none of the models in this series do.
    ¡¾Range and Energy Consumption¡¿
    So far, I've only been driving in the city for commuting. The roads are such that the speed rarely goes above 50 km/h. Each trip is over 8 kilometers long with 7 traffic lights. I've always had the air - conditioning set at 25 degrees, music playing, and all the auxiliary functions turned on, driving in the comfort mode. Since I picked up the car, I've driven about 400 kilometers, and the in - car system shows that there's still 20% of the battery left. I haven't charged the car since I got it. These days, the average energy consumption per 100 kilometers is between 17 - 18 kWh. By the way, in the first couple of days after picking up the car, I was getting the car tinted and the interior decorated and stuff.     ¡¾Car - Buying Experience¡¿I placed an order for the 690PRO in Yu Bailv green at the end of June. It took about 20 days from placing the order to picking up the car. The whole car - buying experience was quite pleasant and smooth. The salesperson and the manager were also very enthusiastic. Apart from the official fees, there were no miscellaneous charges, which saved me a lot of trouble.
    ¡¾Driving Experience¡¿I've been driving it for about 3 months. Initially, I really wasn't used to the irregular - shaped steering wheel and the column - mounted gearshift. But once I got the hang of it, the column - mounted gearshift is indeed more labor - saving and convenient than the traditional gear lever. Of course, when I often need to switch to a vehicle with a traditional gear lever, I really need to be careful not to confuse the operations. The suspension is on the weak side. Especially when there are a lot of speed bumps in the basement parking, the experience is really not good. If there's a turn right at a speed bump and the two wheels pass over the speed bump one after another, the shaking is quite significant. I always pass through very carefully each time. However, when driving on normal paved roads, the vehicle is generally quite stable. Although the car is heavy and large, it's not particularly difficult to handle. The steering feedback is timely and accurate, and the feedback force is also appropriate, giving a feeling similar to a gasoline car with mechanical power steering. When I take my hands off the steering wheel, the vehicle's trajectory is relatively stable, and the whole car is relatively easy to drive. I think the sound insulation and vibration filtering are also quite good. The unpleasant popping sounds when driving on cement or rough roads before are no longer so harsh. When driving on the highway, the annoyance caused by wind noise and tire noise is also significantly reduced. It's obvious that the sound insulation and chassis workmanship are quite solid. In terms of power, it's sufficient for family use. The power comes on as soon as you step on the accelerator, and overtaking is quite calm and confident. In terms of braking, the pedal feel is relatively linear. After activating the assisted braking function, the car can stop smoothly without nodding, which is quite friendly to people prone to motion sickness.
    ¡¾Riding and Interior Space Experience¡¿As an experienced driver, I usually leave the back row for my family. My family thinks the quietness of the whole car is quite good. The seating space is probably the biggest reason for me to choose this car after trying some models. It's a C - class car with a 3000 - mm wheelbase. If three people can't fit in the back row, one person can even lie on the floor. The space is really impressive. Especially after the rear - roof extension design of this car, compared with many other models, the headroom is quite generous. A person of 180 cm can sit in the back row without feeling the pressure on the head. However, the drawback is that this design squeezes the trunk space. It would be much better if it could be designed as a hatchback. In terms of the in - car storage space, I personally think it's just adequate. Especially the armrest box is quite small. It seems deep from the outside but is actually shallow, and can only hold two bottles of mineral water flat. Of course, the island - style console design is quite novel. It can be used as a phone holder and also supports wireless charging, which is quite convenient to use. What I'm not satisfied with in the interior is that there are too many perforations on the leather. The leather on the seats and the inside of the doors all have quite a few perforation designs. I personally think this kind of design is prone to accumulate dirt, and more attention is needed for later cleaning and maintenance.
    ¡¾Range¡¿I think the range is above average. Although the range shown on the dashboard is a bit confusing, after actual testing, the real - world range can be roughly estimated based on the power consumption percentage. For example, in the hot summer when the outdoor temperature here is above 38¡ãC, with the automatic air - conditioning set at 24¡ãC when going out, the cold - tire pressure at 2.8, and driving in the comfort mode, in urban areas, it can drive about 5 kilometers per 1% of power consumption. According to the 690 - km range, the actual range is about 450 - 500 km, depending on how gently you drive. However, there is also a pattern. If there are many short - distance trips, such as trips of 3 - 5 kilometers frequently, the power consumption may be relatively high. Because the air - conditioning of this car consumes a lot of power. Sometimes, when driving 3 kilometers, you may find the power consumption is more than 20%. Since the air - conditioning power consumption accounts for a very large proportion, if you drive a longer distance and the air - conditioning stabilizes, the average power consumption will come down. So, the power consumption of this car for short - distance trips in summer is relatively high. That's why some people can only drive about 400 km. Most likely, they mainly take short - distance trips and reach their destination before the air - conditioning has cooled down. When driving on the highway, under the same air - conditioning mode and at a speed of 100 - 120 km/h, the power consumption here is calculated to be 18 - 19. Overall, it's still quite good, which means it can also run about 450 km. Of course, if you don't turn on the air - conditioning, for example, when the temperature is quite suitable recently, when driving purely in urban areas, the power consumption is between 13.5 - 15. Calculated in this way, it can run about 550 km. On the highway, the power consumption is about 17 - 18, which is still quite good. For those who don't often travel across provinces, it's basically sufficient.
    ¡¾Vehicle Infotainment System Intelligence¡¿It's just better than nothing. Compared with other models launched in 2024, both the vehicle infotainment system functions and the APP functions are quite lacking. For example, the vehicle infotainment system doesn't display the inside and outside temperatures, and the APP doesn't show the total mileage or the power consumption per 100 kilometers. In short, the intelligence of Hongqi is indeed a major shortcoming. Actually, consumers' requirements aren't high. Just add the same functions as other cars. I hope the later OTA updates can make up for this shortcoming.
