Review A
¡¾Endurance and Energy Consumption¡¿
The actual endurance is four to five hundred kilometers, which is quite accurate compared to the WLTC standard value.
The actual energy consumption is 11 - 16 kW¡¤h/100 km. I should note that I'm a driver who saves energy and has good driving habits. In the city, it's about 12, and at around 110 km/h on the highway, it's about 15. So my average energy consumption is 13 (as shown in the picture).
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
I'm 182 cm tall. To be honest, the space is a bit small. After driving for a long time, when I lean forward and shift my butt, I easily hit the sun visor. There's about a fist's distance from my head to the roof in a normal sitting position. But it's a sedan, so it's already quite good. At least passengers in the back won't hit their heads. However, the space can't be compared with that of an SUV, and you have to make a trade - off.
¡¾Infotainment System¡¿
Among its competitors in the same class, the infotainment system is among the worst. Its intelligent performance is terrible. It can only execute simple and standard commands, barely useful. The infotainment screen is quite large, though.
¡¾Driver Assistance¡¿
There are functions like cruise control, lane - assisted cruise control, and automatic parking. I use cruise control the least. Usually, I use L2 with lane assistance. But the video recognition isn't accurate. Often, when there's a shadow on the ground, it suddenly slows down and then speeds up, which is a poor experience. It also fails when the lane markings are unclear. The automatic car - following function is useful during traffic jams on the highway or elevated roads. The 4S store only recommends using it on the highway. The automatic parking isn't sensitive to parking spaces. Often, when the car is beside the parking space and moving back and forth, it doesn't recognize it. It takes passing by three or four spaces to recognize the one behind. But it can park the car when parking. It's just that the car is long, so you need to turn the steering wheel one or two times.
¡¾Driving Modes¡¿
There are four modes: economy, comfort, sport, and custom, each with a different experience. The economy mode is all about energy - saving. The power comes slowly, the energy recovery is strong, and the jerks are obvious. The comfort mode is my most used one. The steering wheel becomes significantly lighter with power assistance. The power comes as soon as you step on the accelerator and is more than enough. The kinetic energy recovery is weak, so there's no jerking, and the car can coast a long way when you release the accelerator. The sport mode fully unleashes the performance. A light tap on the accelerator results in a powerful acceleration. If you're in a hurry or want to have some fun driving fast, the sport mode best reflects the driving pleasure.
¡¾Charging Time¡¿
I usually charge it to 90%. It takes about a little over an hour to fully charge with fast charging. In extreme cases, it takes over an hour and a half. The charging power is generally 60 to 80 kW. Without 3C charging, it's relatively slow. Fortunately, there's at least a two - hour low - tariff period, so I can always fully charge the car. It's best to have a home charging pile!
¡¾Most Satisfying Points¡¿
It looks good; it has an electric tailgate and seats; the air - conditioning cools very well; the driving experience is sufficient, and the acceleration gives a sense of being pushed back; the car is stable in comfort mode, and several passengers who are prone to motion sickness said they didn't feel dizzy at all in my car; it has a full range of configurations and high cost - performance!
Review B
[Car Purchase Experience] I've been keeping an eye on the Qiyuan A07 since its concept stage. I also looked at the BYD Seal EV, Leapmotor C01, and Deepal SL03 in the same price range. The entry - level configuration of the BYD Seal EV is too basic, lacking many features. The Leapmotor C01 requires additional kits, and in fact, the price isn't cheap either, and I can't quite accept its interior. The Deepal SL03 has a reasonable price, but its rear design is a bit "exaggerated". In the end, I was attracted by the appearance of the A07. After its launch, I placed a large deposit on October 13th. However, the waiting time for the pure - electric model was extremely long. Maybe there was a low inventory of the purple color. The 4S store asked me if I wanted to change the color, saying there was a white one in stock, but I firmly chose the Distant Mountain Purple. The actual car is really good - looking: it shows a taro - purple color in good light and a silver - grey color in dim light. It has an air of sophistication with a hint of playfulness, which is my favorite style.
[Driving Experience] After driving for over a week, I find driving the pure - electric car really enjoyable. The acceleration is extremely powerful, and the power is available as soon as you step on the pedal. When starting at a traffic light or overtaking, it can easily leave the cars in the adjacent lanes behind (by the way, this is a bit dangerous, and I don't recommend everyone to do this). The intelligent assisted driving ACC function is very useful on the elevated roads. You can relax both your feet and hands and let the car drive itself. The other day in the urban area, a little kid suddenly ran out. The emergency braking saved my life. Otherwise, it would have been a big trouble. The emergency avoidance function is very effective!
When turning, the steering wheel has power assistance, which makes the steering smooth and not tiring. The steering is also very precise. When passing over speed bumps, it depends on the speed. If the speed is not high, you won't feel much. When passing over the speed bumps on the elevated road, there will be a slight jolt, but it's not a big problem. The chassis does a decent job of filtering vibrations, and there's no obvious bouncing feeling. Regarding noise, even though it has frameless doors, I think the noise control is quite good.
[Riding Experience] Currently, there are usually only two people in the car, and the back seats are empty. I'm 178 cm tall, and I think both the front and rear seats offer relatively spacious space. There's no problem of hitting your head on the roof, after all, it's a B - class car with a decent wheelbase. Friends taller than 185 cm may want to consider looking at SUVs more, as they may not feel very comfortable in this car. The retractable cup holder is also very practical. When not in use, you can raise it to prevent things from falling in. The wireless charging is a bit slow. You can barely use it as a place to put your phone, but don't expect a fast charging speed. However, it will remind you to take your phone when you get out of the car, which is worthy of praise.
[Charging Speed] I haven't tried slow charging yet. I've tried fast charging twice, and it basically takes about 50 minutes to fully charge the battery. The electricity price here is okay, one yuan per kilowatt - hour. The car's display shows an energy consumption of 12.4 kilowatt - hours per 100 kilometers, which means it costs about 0.15 yuan per kilometer. It saves a lot of money ??
[In - car System Evaluation] The most frequently used functions are the intelligent locking and unlocking with the Bluetooth key. It automatically unlocks when you approach the car and automatically locks when you leave. It's very convenient, and you don't need to press the key yourself. The rear - view mirrors automatically fold when you lock the car. Other basic operations such as controlling the air - conditioner, adjusting the volume, opening and closing the windows, and using the navigation can all be executed, and the response speed is also good. However, currently, you can't turn on and off the HUD's snow mode by voice. Sometimes, when there's a white car in front, you can't see the HUD clearly. It would be great if you could switch the mode by voice. I think this should be easy to implement. Let's wait for the next OTA update.
Review C
Driving Experience:
When I picked up the car, the dealership delivered it with a fully charged battery as there was no gasoline left. So it offered a typical electric vehicle experience. The throttle responded immediately when pressed. However, the sound during electric drive was a bit odd. I wonder if I can change it later. The acceleration was really fast. Thanks to the electric drive, it could reach the peak power instantly, which was much quicker than gasoline cars in response. I felt quite confident when overtaking and changing lanes on the road. Even when the engine started, it still felt like an electric car, except that the noise was slightly louder than when running on pure electricity. But compared with Changan's previous models, it was a huge leap. The suspension filtered the road bumps very smoothly, making the ride in the car feel very comfortable. It was equally smooth when passing over speed bumps, giving a feeling similar to that of a C - class luxury car, with a sense of solidity like German cars. It also provided obvious support when taking high - speed corners, with no obvious roll. When the speed reached 60 km/h, the engagement of the range extender could be felt, but it was not obvious, at least less noticeable than the wind noise and tire noise.
Interior Experience:
The interior design was very beautiful. I specifically chose the green seats, which looked very premium. However, it was just a visual impression, as light - colored seats got dirty easily. Just sitting on them once in jeans would leave color stains. The original orange seats required an additional cost. The wood grain on the door panels felt like plastic rather than real wood. In short, apart from the leather parts, the interior was full of a plastic feel.
Fuel Consumption:
The car was fully charged when I picked it up. The dashboard showed a range of 230 km. I drove 1.1 km before picking it up, and the dashboard showed an average power consumption of 13.1 kWh. I'm not sure what level this was. So far, I've driven 191 km, and the remaining pure - electric range was 67 km. Since I switched the driving mode once and the range extender engaged multiple times to generate electricity during this period, this data was not the actual pure - electric range. I'll test it again after charging the car.
Space:
There was nothing to complain about regarding the space. After all, it was a B - class (mid - large) car. The front and rear space, legroom, and headroom were all great. Due to the hatchback design, the trunk space was also very large when the rear seats were folded down. I felt it could even fit a refrigerator.
Infotainment System:
The voice recognition was quite clear. It could still accurately recognize voice commands even in complex environments. However, sometimes the recognized words were incorrect, resulting in no proper results. The recognition of in - car functions was generally accurate, and this issue mainly occurred when setting navigation destinations. All the vehicle functions and settings were integrated into the large screen, which was a significant learning curve for new car owners. It would take a long time to get used to it. Since I hadn't developed the habit of using voice commands, I was still used to tapping the screen to find functions. There were relatively few pre - installed apps in the infotainment system. Even basic apps like iQiyi and QQ Music were missing. Yesterday, I tried to download an app, but nothing was displayed when I opened the app store. I'm not sure if it was a network issue or there were simply no apps in the store.
Overall Impressions:
I've only driven the car for a short time and haven't used many features. The mobile Bluetooth key, although not an advanced feature, was really useful. It allowed me to go out without carrying the physical key and not worry about losing it, just as convenient as a fingerprint and password lock at home. The power - closing doors seemed very premium, but there was not much difference in actual use. Most people still closed the doors forcefully. I really liked the fragrance system. I no longer needed to buy those low - quality air fresheners or car perfumes that made me feel dizzy. I could put my favorite and commonly used perfume in the car. The 360 - degree panoramic camera, like the Bluetooth key, was not high - tech, but it was really convenient to use, especially in blind - spot areas. It was a great tool for passing other cars and parking. I haven't used the seat ventilation yet as the weather was cool and I was afraid of catching a cold, but the seat massage was really comfortable, and the massage intensity could be adjusted. This was one of my favorite features, which could relieve back pain during long - distance drives. Other practical features such as tire pressure monitoring, LED headlights, and automatic folding rear - view mirrors when locking the car were also essential. Finally, I'm quite looking forward to Changan's OTA (Over - the - Air) capability. In the Internet era, if a car couldn't be upgraded online, it would really be left behind. I just wonder if Changan would carry out OTA iterative upgrades according to the needs of car owners like NIO and Li Auto.
