Review A
1. Highway energy consumption: I drove about 60+ km on the highway from Nanjing to Zhenjiang. With the air - conditioning on and an average speed of around 110 km/h, the energy consumption was a little over 15.
2. Urban area energy consumption: When driving normally in the urban area, I didn't turn on the air - conditioning because it was cold at night. The speed was probably over 50 km/h, and the energy consumption was around 12. This is based on my own driving experience, not a professional test, so it can only serve as a reference. Generally speaking, I'm quite satisfied with the energy consumption.
It took 40 minutes to charge from 36% to 95% when there were other vehicles sharing the fast - charging pile.
Evaluation of the in - car infotainment system:
1. The smoothness is excellent. After all, it's equipped with the 8295 chip. Functions like voice control, media, navigation, and 360 - degree view are all pretty good.
2. The size of the memory and storage is unknown. I specifically asked the delivery experts, and they didn't know either.
3. Xiaoaiͬѧ (Xiaomi's voice assistant) probably relies on cloud computing power. Once when I was in a tunnel and the network switched to 2G, it became completely useless. It couldn't even open the mileage app via voice. So it needs an internet connection; otherwise, it only has the most basic functions. The navigation has offline maps, which is a plus.
5. The UI design is very user - friendly. After all, it's from a mobile phone manufacturer, and the design is great.
Some suggestions: The volume of the in - car audio decreases automatically when the door is opened, and this can't be adjusted manually. It's the default setting. The car keys (mobile phone Bluetooth and Bluetooth car keys) must be bound to a Xiaomi account for automatic login; otherwise, you have to scan the QR code every time you log in. The function of unlocking when approaching the car is too sensitive. Today, when I was out on the street and parked the car by the roadside, it kept unlocking and locking. Finally, I turned off this function.
Storage/Seating space:
1. The trunk space is quite large. I'm satisfied as I can put whatever I want in it.
2. Regarding the in - car storage, I can't find a place to put my phone in the driver's seat area (except for the wireless charging area). If anyone knows, please tell me. I also can't seem to find the glasses case.
3. I didn't make good use of the frunk. At first, I thought I just needed to push it back, but it turns out I have to press the frunk lid manually at the end to lock it.
4. Due to the low - set front seats, your feet can't fit under the front seats in the back row.
5. It's well - known that tall people will hit their heads in the back row. No need to elaborate on this. If there are many tall people in your family, don't buy this car!
Evaluation of sound insulation, odor, and interior:
1. The sound insulation is really good. At least for me, there's no need to listen to those online comments that pursue extreme sound insulation. It's too excessive. I suggest you take a test drive yourself. The sound when passing through some bumpy roads is already quite acceptable, and the noise on the highway isn't loud either. If you turn on some music, it's like there's no noise at all.
2. I didn't smell any outrageous odors. There is a smell, but it doesn't seem to be a bad one. It's not unpleasant, just a normal smell. If you're really concerned, you can buy some car air fresheners in advance or ventilate and air out the car more.
3. The interior is so - so. It's not luxurious, but the texture is okay. The texture of the leather surface is quite good. Its durability remains to be tested.
4. The ambient lighting is almost non - existent. It's not obvious during the day, only at night. Maybe I'm being too picky?
5. The welcome lights are only standard on the top - end model. The mid - range and low - end models don't have them, which is a bit of a letdown!
The fabric on the ceiling looks a bit out of place. It's black with a hint of gray. Why not just make it all black?
Review B
I placed a deposit to secure my order right after watching the press conference. I'm a die-hard Mi fan, so I locked in the order without a test drive. Here are my feelings after the test drive last night. I test-drove the standard version, which is also the one I purchased. I locked in my order on the evening of the 28th, and it showed that I could pick up the car in 6 to 9 weeks. But on the evening of the 29th, I heard from the salesperson that the waiting time had been extended to over 18 weeks.
Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS): The integration of the ADAS in the standard version is quite good, completely exceeding my expectations. It can directly recognize traffic lights with a pure vision solution. There's no visual indication of the vehicle behind during lane changes on the rearview mirror, but there will be an audible alert when you signal to change lanes, and it will also be shown on the screen. The completion level of the ADAS in the standard version is relatively high.
Handling: Compared with the Model 3, it's not as aggressive. Even when the regenerative braking is set to the maximum, it's still lower than that of the Model 3. The chassis is very comfortable. The guy who test-drove with me kept praising it, saying that the road feel when going over manhole covers was excellent. The steering is precise, the acceleration is linear, and the braking is relatively gentle, not too abrupt. The initial stage of braking is relatively weak, and there's no head-nodding sensation.
Driving seat experience: It's similar to the XPeng P7i, with a sporty style and a great view. However, the standard version doesn't have a head-up display (HUD), and the dashboard is relatively small. So, you still have to look at the screen for information, which is not very convenient.
Rear-seat space: I'm 168 cm tall, and I felt quite comfortable sitting in the back. But if you're relatively fat or taller than 180 cm, the rear-seat space will be insufficient. This car isn't suitable for long-term rear-seat passengers. However, if the height of family members doesn't exceed 175 cm, it won't be too crowded for five people.
Air conditioning: It's leading in its class. The frunk is very large, and the trunk is quite deep.
Intelligent interaction: It's in the first tier, which is the biggest selling point of this car.
Interaction ecosystem: There are a lot of interface expansions in the car, including camera interfaces for both the driver and front passenger seats, which is an experience not available in other cars.
Summary: This car is suitable for young people in first-, second-, and third-tier cities or small families of three. If you're in the south and don't care about urban ADAS, or if you're in a fourth- or fifth-tier city, the standard version is enough. The additional 20 kWh of battery capacity and the semi-finished urban ADAS in the Pro version aren't worth the extra 30,000 yuan. At a price of 255,000 yuan, most new cars of the same type are on the 800V platform, and the 400V version has no cost-effectiveness. If your budget allows, going for the Max version is the most cost-effective option.
Review C
[Car Purchase Experience]
Three years have passed since graduation, and I've also gone through a certain special period. So starting last year, feeling that I was at the right age, I decided to carefully select a car. After all, a car holds a special meaning and brings a unique feeling to a boy in his twenties. So I started looking at fuel cars and paid attention to many models, from the Lincoln Corsair and Lincoln Z at first, to the last - generation clearance models of 56e and all Land Rover models. This year, I began to focus on electric cars like the 001, IS6, iX3, and EQE, and finally ended up with this Xiaomi car. Sometimes I really can't help but marvel at the magic of fate. When Xiaomi first launched the car, it didn't appeal to me much (to be honest, I cared more about the brand at that time). I even followed those online jokes that slandered Xiaomi. Well, I really didn't expect that half a month later, one early morning when I couldn't sleep, I saw a B - station video (introducing the interior of the SU7). For some reason, on a whim, I directly placed an order. I remember it was April 19th, and then I started a relatively long waiting process.
[Most Satisfied]
Appearance: When it comes to this, I have to mention the often - joked - about "Gemini". Objectively speaking, I bought it because it looked a bit like a Panamera (I'm quite honest and don't need to pretend). However, after looking at it closely for a long time, there are indeed differences. To be honest, people's ways of judging beautiful things are quite similar. Whether it's plagiarism or a high - imitation, at least the emotional value and psychological satisfaction this car brings to me have made me very satisfied.
Interior: There are still some differences between the interior and that of the Max. Later, I'll see if I can change it to the "Argentara" (I don't know how to spell that in English and I'm too lazy to look it up). But I don't feel the plastic feeling that some netizens mentioned. The soft parts are okay, and the texture in all aspects is good.
[Space Performance]
It's okay. I'm not very tall, about 172 - 173 cm. The front row is quite comfortable. A colleague who is 182 cm tall sat in the back row and said it was quite spacious. The car is over one - point - nine meters wide, which is really wide. I think I need to be more careful and practice more in daily driving. The space is okay. There are no Yao Ming or LeBron James in my family, so it's quite sufficient and good.
[Range and Energy Consumption]
I added 20 - inch plum - blossom wheels, which definitely affects the range. I don't drive aggressively personally (as a novice, I'm too scared). After checking, the power consumption is basically around 16 kWh. I estimate that with a full charge for an 850 - km range, it can run more than six hundred kilometers, which is okay under normal circumstances. For long - distance trips, I'll take a plane or a high - speed train. I'm too lazy to drive. Driving is for my own comfort and happiness. There's no need to be overly concerned and get tied down by it.
[Assisted Driving]
So far, I've only tried the automatic parking and valet parking functions, which are very useful. It can usually park in one go. Also, the 360 - degree camera is really friendly to newbies. I haven't tried the ICC and NOA yet, and I don't want to rely on them too much.
[Charging Time]
I haven't charged the car yet. My home uses three - phase electricity (a self - built house in the countryside). I don't know what size of charging pile I can install. I'll study it later and report back to you.
[Least Satisfied]
I feel that the steering wheel is a bit too sensitive. It feels quite light, and sometimes it drifts a bit. But it might be my problem. I'll keep an eye on it later. It doesn't have a big impact. I just need to get more familiar with it.
