Review A
First of all, I need to mention this owner verification. I scanned it several times, and each time it showed Panamera instead of Panamera Hybrid. I checked and saw that other car owners do have the Panamera Hybrid verification. I don't know what bug is causing this. I hope knowledgeable car owners can give me some advice.
First, let me talk about my thought process in choosing between the Panamera and Panamera E-Hybrid. I initially went to the Porsche dealership to look at the Panamera, but after the test drive, they said there were no cars in stock and asked me to create a custom configuration, with delivery in about a year. I agreed, signed the contract, and was about to leave when I saw a green-plated Panamera coming in for maintenance. I asked and found out it was the Panamera E-Hybrid. After further了解, I was told the interior is exactly the same, the configuration is higher, and it can run on both fuel and electricity. Since my commute is 30 kilometers, the dealership said the pure electric range is 60 kilometers, so I thought it would be perfect for round trips using electricity to save fuel, and with higher configuration, so I decided to give it a try. Then I went for a test drive, listened to the sales explanation, and they said there was exactly one car in stock. I immediately became a fan.
Now I'll talk about each aspect one by one. I've driven over 2,000 kilometers, so my opinion might not be objective. Please understand.
For the exterior, I give 4 points. Since I'm also a Mercedes owner, I prefer the front-end design of Mercedes, which is more imposing. The Porsche front isn't bad-looking; I just personally think it's not as大气 as Mercedes (please don't criticize harshly). But the side profile and rear of the Panamera are impeccable. The extremely beautiful lines combined with the lights, logo, and various body elements are comparable to the beauty of statues in ancient times.
For the interior, I give 4.5 points. After getting used to the Mercedes interior, I still think the Porsche interior is very luxurious. In terms of texture, I think Mercedes is better, but in terms of dynamism, Porsche wins. The Mercedes interior gives an elegant, leisurely vibe, while Porsche exudes passion and excitement, which really sparks my desire to drive. The only minor drawback is that I think more physical buttons would be better, like seat ventilation and heating, which are virtual touchscreen buttons in the Panamera (though this is subjective).
Regarding configuration, it's a common issue with the Porsche brand. Since I picked up a car in stock, I just used whatever configuration it had. When I checked later, all the useful configurations in my car were on the option list. If you remove those, there aren't many configurations left. This is something to criticize. When点评 a brand and model, there should be both praise and criticism.
In terms of seating space, there's nothing to complain about. I'm 185cm tall, and the X and Y axis space is ample; I can even recline slightly in the back seat without much problem. The Z axis space is a bit tight, not as good as SUVs, but that's inevitable and not worth criticizing.
Storage space is quite limited. The trunk isn't very big; after putting in one suitcase, you can only fit some other small items.
For range, let's talk about pure electric range. I clearly remember the dealership said 60 kilometers, but my one-way commute is 30 kilometers. Going to work is fine, but when returning, the fuel consumption goes up. I won't say more about that.
Driving experience: The steering is precise with almost no play, and the chassis tuning can be both sporty and comfortable. In Comfort mode, the chassis even has a similar feel to my Mercedes, with smooth shock absorption and almost no road feel. Once, I didn't have time to close my water bottle, and when driving over a rough road in Comfort mode, the water didn't spill. In Sport mode, the road feel is extremely clear, with a standard sports car chassis. Porsche can achieve these two extremes in one car; that's worth praising. The transmission顿挫 is almost negligible, which is much better than Mercedes' 9AT. When Mercedes is coasting to a red light, the downshifts cause jerking, but Porsche doesn't.
Power: Power is immediately available with almost no response delay. The 2.9T V6 has no issues at all; it can be smooth when you want smoothness and激情 when you want excitement. The exhaust note is pleasant and rich, which really gets the adrenaline going.
Fuel consumption... Although it has a green plate, normally it's 12-15 L/100km, and in S+ mode, 30 L/100km is easy.
Most unsatisfactory aspects: Let me add the most unsatisfactory points. One is the infotainment system. To be honest, the interface design isn't very user-friendly, with too many buttons and a cluttered interface. When driving, you can't accurately press the button you want to operate, and the smoothness needs improvement. (Deduct points appropriately for intelligence.)
Another is the Porsche seats; they're so damn hard. Recently, whenever I drive for an hour or so, my lower back aches. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I bought a 50-yuan back pillow on某宝, which made it much more comfortable.
The last one is the reverse camera, which can only be described as "阴间". The proportions are off, the angle is strange, like the lens has a度数.
Review B
Rear Row:
After lengthening, the wheelbase reaches 3100mm, providing extremely ample rear space. The panoramic sunroof allows for excellent light penetration. The rear seats support 8-way electric adjustment, with separate adjustments for the backrest, seat cushion, and lumbar support. The rear is also equipped with four-zone air conditioning, seat heating, and electric sunshades, offering exceptional comfort!
Dynamics:
It's said that the Panamera is a favorite among socialites, but I actually prefer the appearance of the Sport Turismo. The rear lines are sharper, giving it a bit of a shooting brake vibe. Tonight, let's try this 4 E-Hybrid Executive Extended Version first. After all, the top-of-the-line Panamera Turbo S is also a plug-in hybrid executive extended version model.
The first driving impression is that it's big! The Panamera truly has the largest driving feel among Porsches, which is different from other Porsche models like the 911, Macan, and Cayenne.
Unlike the Turbo S's V8, this car is equipped with the EA839 twin-turbocharged 2.9T V6 engine. As the code suggests, this engine was主导 developed by Audi. It's used in front-engine Porsches and Audi RS models. Of course, in the inner world of socialites, Porsche and Audi are clearly two different realms. In my mind, the real Porsche engines will always be the horizontally opposed ones made in Stuttgart!
Our car is the low-power version of the EA839, with 330 horsepower, 100 less than the high-power 4S. Combined with the electric motor, the total power is 462 PS and the maximum torque is 700 Nm. 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds may not sound very thrilling, but considering its large size and 2.3-ton weight, it's already quite impressive. In boost mode, flooring the accelerator won't give you a dizzying sense of acceleration. The turbo kicks in quickly and is basically unnoticeable, with absolute power reserves more than enough to make socialites scream. When downshifting, you can hear a faint backfire, but as always, with GPF installed, exhaust sounds are pretty much a thing of the past!
The 8-speed PDK shifts very quickly in SPORT+ mode, but it doesn't have the crisp, decisive rhythm of the 911; the tuning feels somewhat different. Also, because the electric motor is located between the engine and the gearbox, the 2nd-to-1st gear downshift isn't very smooth, sometimes even a bit jerky with strange noises.
Chassis:
Porsche's chassis engineers say the PANAMERA is the best combination of comfort and sportiness. Based on the chassis performance, our car is still more偏向 comfort. The entire series comes with adaptive air suspension, which adjusts the ride height and spring stiffness according to road conditions. On good roads, the vibration filtering is very gentle, with little road feel, making you quickly forget you're driving a Porsche. This car may have significant body roll in high-speed corners, and this version can't be equipped with the PDCC active anti-roll bars. But let's be real, which socialite would take this thing to a racetrack!
NVH:
As a four-door Porsche, the Panamera's sound insulation is excellent, with wind and road noise extremely well suppressed. It also supports low-speed pure electric driving, making daily driving extremely quiet. So I strongly recommend socialites spend 100,000 yuan to option the Burmester sound system!
Summary:
Porsche has always pursued sporty handling, but in reality, this plug-in hybrid Panamera drives like a very standard executive sedan. Beyond its power performance, don't expect to find much driving fun in this car. A quiet cabin, a supple chassis, and the不经意 exposure of the Porsche badge on social media—these are what high-level socialites truly desire deep down.
Review C
The rear space is small! Mine is the short-wheelbase Panamera (the Executive version has no soul), so the rear space is relatively small. I'm 1.8 meters tall, and this is how it is when sitting in the back seat, of course, this is without adjusting the seat forward, but it's still very narrow. In addition, the trunk space is also small. Basically, you can't put much stuff. The electric感应 opening and closing can't be stuffed hard. Usually, you can only put one golf bag when playing golf. Fortunately, the rear seats can be folded down, so it can be used凑合ly.
The reversing image is seriously distorted, the picture ratio is strangely narrow, and it will be seriously disturbed if you are not familiar with it. Now I just look at the rearview mirror. Friends who buy later need a panoramic/holographic reversing image. I bought a ready-made car and had no choice.
This doesn't count as a disadvantage, but I still want to mention it: because the car body is wide, long, and relatively heavy, it feels a bit bulky to drive, like a "heavy sword with no edge".
Let me summarize and give some suggestions. Maybe after reading my post, everyone will say there are quite a few shortcomings. There are indeed many shortcomings, but I can't resist the advantages. Personally, I just need a car I like for commuting, so I value practicality and a bit of sportiness. I have seen the AMG GT 53 four-door version before, but the Panamera is irreplaceable in my heart. Therefore, considering that it's usually just me and my girlfriend, and my demand for some sports car characteristics, the Panamera is the perfect coupe! What sports car isn't hard!
Of course, everyone's situation is different. If you don't often carry people like me and prefer elegance, the Panamera is the best choice. If you often need to pick up people, you really need to consider it. The comfort is really not high. Even the Executive version, the seat hardness is there. Moreover, the Executive version feels like it has lost the soul of a sports car. After all, it's a coupe!
If you like power, the Panamera is also good. The AMG I've seen in the same price range is also a 6-cylinder, with little difference in horsepower, and as a sports car, the comfort shouldn't be too different. This is just my guess, and opinions may vary. Ultimately, it's up to you to choose.
Finally, I recommend the hybrid version. It's really good, no risk, and comes with some configurations, such as SC, suspension, and you can save some fuel if you often drive short distances. It's really fuel-consuming. During this time when there's no electricity, I have to refuel once a day with 4.5 (probably referring to fuel consumption). The hybrid car's fuel tank is 80L, which is slightly larger than the ordinary standard fuel tank, and it costs about 800 yuan to fill up. Importantly, the hybrid has more horsepower. I remember it has over 460 horsepower, which is more and faster than the regular version! Oh, right, the hybrid is four-wheel drive! The fuel version is rear-wheel drive!
