[Car Purchase Experience]
There are quite a few things to replace during the maintenance of a gasoline car. My wife said, "Let's trade it in for an electric car." Then I recommended the S05 to my wife. She said it looked good, so we decided to look at this model. I test - drove it once on Wednesday (March 26). On Sunday morning (March 30), I visited two dealerships and paid the earnest money. The next day (March 31), the loan was approved and I locked in the order. I picked up the car smoothly on April 8. It seemed like a hasty decision, but actually, I've been browsing the car - related forums for years and always have my top - choice models in mind for different price ranges.
[Range and Energy Consumption]
I've driven over 700 kilometers so far. The driving power consumption is 10 kWh, and the accessory power consumption is about one - third of the driving power consumption. I haven't depleted the battery yet, but it seems that I can drive about 440 kilometers for daily commuting.
[Driver Assistance]
The driver - assistance system is quite useful. When driving on the Third Ring Road or the Beltway in Chengdu, I turn it on when I'm on the left - most lane and don't need to intervene until I reach the off - ramp.
[Maintenance]
I got free lifetime basic maintenance, which is a significant benefit compared to gasoline cars.
[Service Experience]
The purchase experience was great. They didn't force me to buy insurance through them. I contacted my previous insurance agent, and she recommended that I buy insurance directly at the delivery center. There was no mandatory requirement for license plate registration service. I went to get the license plate myself, and it only took an hour and cost 120 yuan. The whole process of test - driving, negotiating the price, and picking up the car was very efficient.
Review B
¡¾Car Purchase Experience¡¿Since the fuel consumption of my previous gasoline car was extremely high during my daily commute in the city (it often soared above 20), I gradually started to think about getting a new car. I wavered among gasoline cars, hybrid cars, and pure - electric cars for a long time. After doing a lot of research and considering my own situation, I finally decided to buy a pure - electric car. After choosing a pure - electric car, I combined it with my budget and shortlisted more than a dozen models. I eliminated them one by one, and finally narrowed it down to five options: Deepal S05, Geely Galaxy E5, Leapmotor B10, BYD Yuan PLUS, and ARCFOX T5. Considering the price, configuration, and my personal needs (mostly for city use, occasional long - distance trips, and I value battery safety and interior space), I finally settled on the Deepal S05 Pure - Electric 510Max version.
¡¾Space Performance¡¿I'm very satisfied. I'm 176 cm tall. Whether it's the headroom or legroom in the driver's seat, it's more than enough. I also tried sitting in the back row. There's about two and a half fists of space in front of my legs, and I can cross my legs quite easily. The sense of space is even more expansive when the sunshade is opened.
¡¾Range and Energy Consumption¡¿The nominal range is 510 km, but the actual performance is average. In the city, it can run about 390 - 420 km on average. When driving on the highway at a speed of 110 km/h, the estimated range is within 360 km. The distance between charging points should not exceed 300 km; otherwise, you might not make it to the next service area.
¡¾Assisted Driving¡¿It's okay. It can achieve cruise control, automatic following, and lane - keeping. It also has warning and collision - avoidance functions for both sides. If there's a risk of a side - swipe when you're changing lanes, it can actually grab the steering wheel and correct your course.
¡¾Intelligent Cockpit¡¿There's a queen - style seat for the front - passenger with a leg rest and lumbar support, but its utilization rate is extremely low.
¡¾Charging Time¡¿It depends on the charging pile. Calculated from 20% to 100% battery charge, it takes about six and a half hours with a 7 - kW home charging pile, more than thirty hours with a 1.5 - kW portable charger, and just over half an hour with a 100 - kW fast charger.
¡¾Maintenance Cost¡¿I haven't had it repaired yet, but the vehicle warranty for three years or 120,000 km is a bit short.
¡¾Maintenance¡¿Basic maintenance is free for life.
Review C
¡¾Car Purchase Experience¡¿
I originally planned to change my car last year, but unfortunately, the transfer of my old car was delayed by a few days, so I missed the scrapping subsidy. I've been waiting for the 2025 policy. As soon as the policy document came out, I made my move.
Looking at cars was quite simple. I unhesitatingly chose the Deepal S05. I just took a look at the exteriors of other premium models and didn't really like them, so I skipped the rest. Then it was time to negotiate the price. Since it's a car that had just been on the market for a short time, there wasn't much of a discount, so I just had a casual negotiation and placed an order.
I locked in the order on January 16th. The car arrived on January 21st and I picked it up on the 22nd. Since I had to work, I asked my family members to pick it up for me.
It took me several hours to study the car's infotainment system after I got the car! Dammit!! There was still a new - car smell, but it became less obvious after I left the windows open for two or three days.
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
It looks like a compact car, but in fact, the seating space is more than enough. Maybe it's because I'm not very tall. I'm 1.75 meters tall. After adjusting the front seat, when I sit in the back row, I can even slouch comfortably. My family members are generally not very tall either, so the space is completely sufficient.
¡¾Range and Energy Consumption¡¿
The 56 - kWh battery is rated for a range of 510 km. Those who understand will know what I mean. After picking up the car with a full charge, I drove more than 300 km in the city and on the expressway. The maximum speed on the expressway was 90 - 100 km/h, and in the city, it was basically 40 - 70 km/h. The energy consumption shown on the meter was okay. Since the weather in Chengdu wasn't very cold, I didn't turn on the air - conditioner. With a full charge, the range was almost 400 km. On the highway, the range was relatively lower. When cruising at a speed of 120 - 130 km/h with the air - conditioner set at 26 degrees, it basically needed to be charged after about 280 km. This is the range situation in Chengdu and can serve as a reference for you all.
¡¾Assisted Driving¡¿
I've only used the assisted - driving function once. Generally speaking, it's okay. There was no zig - zagging. However, if you want to turn on the lane - departure warning, it's recommended to turn on the steering - wheel vibration function. The corrective steering will take over the steering wheel, which I'm not very used to.
That's about it for now. I'll write about other usage situations if I have the chance in the future, since I haven't driven it much yet.
