    Exterior: It's a matter of personal preference. The through-type headlights are really too homogeneous, and the brand recognition is not high. Fortunately, my family can still accept it.
    Interior: It's literally a rough finish. There are all kinds of felt interior surfaces, so I had to buy a bunch of covers for the accessories to slightly reduce the wear and tear during use. Compared with domestic cars that often come with configurations like refrigerators, TVs, and big comfortable seats, it's quite simple. Fortunately, the texture is okay, and it's sufficient to meet the basic commuting needs.
    Space: This is the biggest highlight. Despite being slightly smaller in size than other models, it has a much larger interior space, with an extremely high space utilization rate. It can be regarded as a bonus for having no redundant configurations.
    Configuration: The driving configuration meets expectations. Whether it's power consumption, handling, or the smoothness of the car - infotainment system, they are all up to the mark. However, it fails in terms of comfort configuration. There is no glasses holder, the wireless charging is useless, the seats are too hard, and the suspension is still very stiff. My family members who ride with me said that it's not as comfortable as our old fuel - powered car after a long - time ride, so I still have to buy some accessories to improve it.
    In conclusion, this is a model with obvious advantages and disadvantages. If it meets the current purchase requirements, you can just go ahead and buy it. The performance during subsequent use is another matter.

    [Car purchase experience]
    I'm a newbie who switched from a gasoline car to an electric one. I decided to change my car because my old gasoline car had been in a poor state since it was rear-ended years ago (it was a rear-end collision on the elevated road, and all the airbags deployed. Actually, the car was not repaired properly). Last November, the air conditioner suddenly stopped working. I originally planned to get it repaired when it got hot this year. But when I went to the dealership, I was told that the repair would cost nearly ten thousand yuan (it's a niche Japanese car, and the compressor needs to be replaced). The warranty is only for one year, and they're not even sure if it's the compressor's problem. So I started thinking about getting a new car. At the same time, in response to the government's call for green travel, I turned to electric cars. My targets were NIO and Tesla. But the service of the salesperson at NIO when I went to see the cars a couple of years ago was so bad that I directly took my kid to check out Tesla.
    [Spatial performance]
    The spatial performance can be evaluated from two aspects: storage and passenger seating. The storage space really impressed me, especially the frunk and the trunk. As for passenger seating, it's just average. There's nothing particularly amazing about it; it's just at a normal level.
    [Range and energy consumption]
    This was actually what worried me the most when I was buying the car. After all, news on the Internet always reports issues like "scrambling for charging piles" and "false range claims". But since I picked up the car, I've driven 5,000 kilometers. I drove this much in a month mainly because I took a self-driving trip on the highway during the May Day holiday. I drove about 2,000 kilometers on surface roads and 3,000 kilometers on the highway. I think Tesla didn't disappoint me too much. I drove in the "Tesla" mode (standard single-pedal driving) the whole time. In terms of range, I can almost reach 450 kilometers on urban roads and 415 kilometers on the highway (driving at a speed of 115 - 125 km/h).
    [Autopilot]
    I've always been quite resistant to intelligent driving. I don't really like artificial intelligence. So I only tried it briefly on the highway and won't give any comments.
    [Car purchase price]
    The bare car costs 263,500 yuan. There's a comprehensive subsidy of 19,000 yuan, insurance costs 6,200 yuan, the benefit package costs 1,300 yuan, and the cable costs 3,500 yuan. You guys can do the math on the final cost.
    [Charging time]
    My highway charging experience during this self-driving trip was quite good. There are charging guns at almost every service area, and they're all fast chargers. It only takes half an hour to charge the battery to 60%. When charging slowly at home overnight, it takes at most 8 hours to charge from 2% to 100%.
    [Interior]
    Interior? Does Tesla even have an interior? You can decorate it yourself. I won't do any advertising here.

    I bought the long-range version and have driven nearly 5,000 kilometers. I used to think many online claims were exaggerated, but after experiencing it myself, I deeply feel that:

    Positive aspects:
    1. The acceleration is really exhilarating. I'm more confident when overtaking, and it feels safer. Personally, I think setting the driving mode to "Comfort" is enough; there's no need to use "Standard". For many drivers switching from fuel-powered cars, the accelerator might be too sensitive in "Standard" mode.
    2. The Model Y is really spacious. The frunk and the sunken trunk are especially great! Now when I take my two kids out for fun or to training classes, I can put all the stuff in the frunk, the sunken trunk, and the two storage compartments on both sides. I only put a mattress in the trunk. I can take a nap in the car when I'm tired. There's no exhaust and no noise. Even in an underground parking lot where the outside air is bad, Tesla's built-in air filtration system works well, and it's very comfortable to sleep in the car.
    3. The Autopilot is really useful. I was given a six-month trial of Enhanced Autopilot (EAP). It was a process of building confidence. At first, I was very cautious, but later I used it with confidence. Generally speaking, although we can't rely on Autopilot 100%, it can significantly reduce energy and physical fatigue. I think its good performance is due to both the powerful chip computing power and the vast amount of driving big data behind it. The former is a hardware issue, and other manufacturers still have a chance to surpass Tesla, but the latter is currently quite difficult to rival.
    4. The battery management is very accurate. Under normal driving conditions, the difference between the mileage shown on the dashboard and the actual mileage is very small, which makes it easy to estimate the charging location.
    5. The usage cost is very low. When I bought the car, apart from the car price, I only spent 280 yuan on the licensing fee. If calculated this way, the car price is actually equivalent to that of a fuel-powered car costing just over 300,000 yuan. Coupled with the cheap electricity cost and almost no maintenance expenses, I can save at least about 20,000 yuan per year. As many people say, the more you drive an electric car, the more cost-effective it is.
    6. There's no worry about fuel costs and carbon deposits when traveling. The electric motor doesn't need warm-up, and there won't be the problem of unstable idle speed like in fuel-powered cars. The electric motor is always stable, and there's no need to change engine oil, transmission oil, or timing belts... It really seems like there are many things less to worry about. Now, even for short trips, I'm willing to drive because I don't have to worry about high fuel consumption when the car is cold or engine carbon deposits. I don't need to worry about the coolant either. Usually, the only thing I need to pay attention to when using the car is the windshield washer fluid, and then go to Tesla's after-sales service for an inspection once a year.
    7. The in-car system is really excellent. This has to be compared with other manufacturers. Personally, I feel that although Tesla's in-car system, especially the navigation, still has some unsatisfactory aspects, it is indeed the most user-friendly. The in-car systems of other manufacturers based on the ARM general platform always lack a bit in system optimization. Tesla's self-developed system based on the Intel platform has a much better fit with the car. My kids really like this screen. They think it's like an iPad and is easy to learn to operate. They can even connect a game controller to play games...
    8. The initial sitting feeling of the seats is not comfortable. Compared with many cars, Tesla's seats are stiffer and the seat cushions are shorter. Interestingly, after driving the same few hundred kilometers, I feel very tired when getting out of a car with "comfortable" seats, but I don't have this feeling when driving a Tesla. Sometimes I wonder if the stiffer seats help with blood circulation and prevent the body from entering a "sleepy" state, so there's no fatigue feeling after getting out of the car.
    9. As many people say, in 90% of usage scenarios, electric cars are indeed better than fuel-powered cars, especially in cities and their surrounding areas where charging stations are well-developed.
    10. After driving an electric car, I really can't go back to a fuel-powered car... No one in my family wants to drive the fuel-powered car now. Even for long-distance trips, my family's first choice is to research charging stations first. Only when there's really no other way will they drive the fuel-powered car.
    11. The customer service is a pleasant surprise. The phone is answered instantly. There are only two levels of selection menus, with only 2 - 3 options at each level, and the manual service is connected instantly. The experience is great. They can explain the problem immediately. If they can't explain it, they'll find out and reply as soon as possible. Maybe my problems are not complicated and don't involve too many "soul - searching questions", but overall, it's still a good experience.
    12. It's really quiet at low speeds in the city. The wind noise and tire noise are obvious at high speeds, but without the roar of the engine, it's still acceptable. Sometimes, there's an inexplicable sense of humor on the highway. The engine of a fuel-powered car roars "boom - boom - boom" powerfully, while Tesla's electric motor whirs "ying - ying - ying"...
    13. Tesla is really energy - efficient. According to my driving habits, for the most frequently traveled one - way 11 - kilometer short trip (commuting to work), with the air - conditioning set at 21 degrees and the driving mode set to "Creep", the energy consumption is around 140 - 170. If I don't turn on the air - conditioning and set the driving mode to "Hold" (i.e., one - pedal driving), the energy consumption is about 90 - 110. It consumes a little more energy at high speeds, but it doesn't exceed 170.

    Negative aspects:
    1. The shock absorption is really poor. Especially on roads with small potholes like small shell craters, the car bounces up and down, feeling like a car worth only a few tens of thousands of yuan. After careful study, I think the main problem might be the tire pressure (not very sure). Tesla sets the tire pressure at 2.9, and the overall suspension is on the stiffer side. Some people online say that reducing it to 2.5 will significantly improve the situation, but I haven't tried it before, so I'm not sure. Later, I confirmed that the shock absorption improves significantly at a lower tire pressure. Recently, the weather has turned cold. When I traveled to a colder area, the tire pressure dropped to a minimum of 2.4. Personally, I feel that the shock absorption improves significantly when the tire pressure reaches 2.6, especially when going over potholes. In my usage scenario, the energy consumption doesn't increase significantly.
    2. I have reservations about the one - pedal driving mode. It seems to go against the intuition of traditional fuel - powered car drivers. I drove a fuel - powered car for nearly 20 years (without any accidents) before switching to Tesla and started using the "one - pedal driving mode" (actually the "Hold" mode).
