Review A

The appearance of this car is still very beautiful, in line with the positioning of new energy vehicles, withÁ¬¹á headlights at both front and rear. The black color I chose looks very elegant, and the added 21-inch wheels make it even more imposing, but the body height is a bit low and the chassis isn't high either. I bought this car mainly because I value its mechanical quality and passive safety. The interior is quite controversial, especially the "Star Move Bar Counter," which many people also call the "Guillotine" because it's not connected to the front and is different from traditional center consoles. There are no physical buttons either; instead, many sensors are used. The interior colors available are black, white, and brown. I chose brown, which feels okay, but it gets dirty more easily than black. The seats are quite comfortable, with moderate firmness, though they aren't leather. The space is very spacious, but the car is a bit too wide. With my driving skills, parking in a city like Beijing is very inconvenient, and even passing other cars in the community is difficult. However, the turning radius is quite small. In terms of configuration, it's considered a mid-range model. The pure electric version is much more expensive than the extended-range one. It has all the basic functions. I didn't choose the air suspension because I don't think I'll need it. Other configurations are okay, but it's not very smart; there's still a lot of room for improvement. The power is abundant, and overtaking is effortless. However, the Falcon Intelligent Driving is just so-so, somewhat "intelligence-challenged." For example, automatic parking can only be used in marked parking spaces. On the first day I picked up the car, in a regular parking space at a mall, it displayed "trajectory calculation complex" and just quit, which was really annoying. On the road, if it thinks it has right of way, it won't±ÜÈà much. But the infotainment system is quite smooth, and the voice assistant can understand commands. The range seems good so far. After all, this big guy weighs over 2.6 tons, has abundant power, and I even upgraded to larger wheels. The energy consumption when driving alone on city roads is 16-18 kWh/100km, which is acceptable. I haven't driven it on the highway yet; highway consumption should be over 20 kWh/100km. Overall, the cost-effectiveness is quite high, and the "tech guy" reputation is well-deserved. Cars in this class aren't that different. I hope I won't encounter quality control issues like Chery's minor problems. Less repairs, less repairs, less repairs.

Review B

I've been driving a fuel-powered car for over 10 years, and with the passenger car subsidy policy in place, I decided to get a new car in May. Due to a limited budget, I considered domestic electric vehicles and looked at the Geely Galaxy E8, Zeekr 7X, Li Auto L6, and Xingyuan ES one after another, feeling overwhelmed by the options. After test-driving them for comparison, the ES had the best quality with its all-aluminum chassis and porcelain blue interior, which was quite stunning. My family was about to place an order for the ES when we saw the ET in the dealership. The space is really huge, with 88% high-strength steel body and all-aluminum chassis, which made me very torn. Considering family use, I finally chose the ET.

I've had the car for over a month and driven more than 3,000 kilometers. What satisfies me most is that the ET body is safe enough and the interior is eco-friendly. I specifically watched teardown videos and carÔҳµ videos, and the materials used are really solid. The manufacturer is quite reliable and deserves a thumbs up!

The Xingyuan ET has dimensions of 4955mm in length, 1975mm in width, 1698mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3000mm. The trunk can be folded down with one button, and the space is really huge, even usable as a cargo van. The seats are soft and spacious; a 200-pound person should not feel cramped sitting in them. Especially the center console design allows the right foot to be placed freely without restriction, and the seat height adjustment range is relatively large.

Last week, I drove from Hangzhou to Zhoushan. The WLTC indicated range was 200 kilometers, which was basically close to the actual range. I charged once at a service area in between, and it was fully charged in about an hour. The energy consumption on the highway, with the air conditioning set to 24 degrees throughout the trip, was approximately 18-20 kWh/100km, and around 13-15 kWh/100km when driving in the city. This is acceptable and not really power-hungry, considering the car's weight.

The infotainment system is equipped with the 8295 chip, operating smoothly without any lag. It has many functions, and the headrest speakers can be controlled for separate playback. When navigating on the highway, the headrest speakers play directly without disturbing others in the car.

During this highway trip, I enabled assisted driving for most of the journey, and the highway intelligent driving system handled entering and exiting ramps with basically no pressure. However, when encountering traffic jams and following other cars, the driving style is quite aggressive with a lot of sudden acceleration and braking, whichÈÝÒ×Ôγµ. I hope that OTA updates can add options for assisted driving styles. The lane-keeping function is very easy to trigger; if you don't have the habit of signaling when changing lanes, the vehicle will drive along the lane lines and jerk the steering wheel, but lane-keeping can be turned off. The mobile app is also user-friendly, especially the one-click car preparation function in summer.

Let's talk about the most criticized interior. The interior design of the ET is hard to evaluate. An SUV designed like an MPV with a hollowed-out center is tooÓëÖڲ»ͬ. Maybe because I switched to an electric car from a fuel-powered one, there are almost no physical buttons except for the two scroll wheels on the steering wheel, which is really inconvenient to operate. I urge new energy vehicle manufacturers to stop piling up screens and return to physical buttons!

¡¾Car Purchase Experience¡¿
I went to the 4S store to look at cars on April 20th, placed a deposit on the 22nd, paid the balance on the 27th, and picked up the car on the 30th.
At the beginning of last year, I was¹ØעµÄÑþ¹â and also went for a test drive. The driving experience was good, but the front face didn't suit my aesthetic, and the trunk looked a bit small. Later, ET began pre-launch promotions. When I saw the appearance, I was amazed. When I saw the real car for the first time, I felt the car had a lot of space, the interior was very comfortable and simple, and the test drive handling was also great, so I started the car purchase process mentioned earlier. Now it seems that I was somewhat impulsive.

Let's talk about my experience with the car during this time.

¡¾Driving Experience¡¿
The power is sufficient, and the acceleration is very linear. Electric cars are indeed fast in terms of acceleration. At traffic lights, you can basically see that electric cars start very quickly (it's really enjoyable). Overtaking and accelerating on the highway is also not sloppy, very crisp. I think my driving is quite gentle, but many friends who ride in my car say my starting acceleration is too fast, so most of the time I drive in eco mode. After getting used to eco mode, when I switch back to standard mode when driving alone, it really feels quite powerful, haha.

My model is equipped with air suspension and CDC. The chassis is very soft and comfortable, which can filter out uncomfortable vibrations when passing through uneven roads, making the ride very comfortable. It's just that during some sharp turns and undulating roads, it sometimes feels like "driving a boat" (swaying left and right) as everyone says ??. It also provides good pitch suppression during sudden acceleration and braking. The six-piston caliper brakes are very stable and reassuring. The steering wheel weight and steering are quite appropriate. Although some friends are not used to my double D-shaped steering wheel, I think the large and round steering wheel makes my hands tired when driving. It can only be said that everyone has different habits.

The interior quietness is really good. The double-layer laminated sound-insulating glass can block a lot of external noise. If someone talks to me outside the car without opening the window, I might not hear clearly and have to speak very loudly. The noise is a bit worse when the speed is above 110 km/h, with tire noise and wind noise being slightly louder, but I still think it's at the top level. Most cars should have loud noise at this speed, right?

¡¾Space Performance¡¿
The space is very large, which all friends who have ridden in my car will say, without exception. Although the car body doesn't look tall when the air suspension is not raised (low and handsome), because of the glass sunroof, the head space inside the car is very sufficient. Even if I raise the seat in the driving position, it doesn't feel cramped.

The trunk is also very large. The reason for buying an SUV is for the large space. In the past, when riding in others' cars, I was always afraid of bringing too many things that couldn't fit in the car. Now the space is so large that I'm thinking about what else I can bring.

By the way, mine is a pure electric vehicle, and there's also a frunk that can be used (it's just that the front hatch is not easy to close, I'm afraid of pressing too hard to break it, haha). The trunk is not full, so the frunk is basically not used ??.

Although the front row lacks glove box storage, the armrest box can basically hold everything. Currently, there are few things, so it doesn't feel like an issue. Moreover, things can be placed under the disconnected armrest box, and when it's inconvenient to get off from the left side against the wall, getting off from the right side is really convenient.

¡¾Range¡¿
Highway: For a journey of about 430 kilometers, the displayed power consumption is 19.3 kWh/100km. 70%-80% of the road sections are highways with a speed of 100-120 km/h, with two people in the car and the air conditioner set to 26 degrees. (Going back to my hometown is more than 400 kilometers. I take a break at the service area halfway and charge by the way. I just don't know how long I will have to queue for charging during the Spring Festival travel rush. Here, I want to complain about the pain of pure electric vehicles. Can there be more charging piles in the service areas with higher power? Queuing for charging and slow charging are really uncomfortable.)
Urban area: For a journey of about 70 kilometers, the displayed power consumption is around 14.8 kWh/100km. 80% of the highway sections have a speed of 80-100 km/h, with two people in the car, air conditioner at 24 degrees, and driving more gently (avoiding sudden acceleration and braking), so the overall energy consumption is lower.

¡¾Interior¡¿
The interior workmanship and materials are good, and there is no peculiar smell (I test-drove a Tang before, maybe because it was a test drive car, there was a strong smell as soon as I got in, and the desire to buy it disappeared immediately). Most of it is leather material, and the micro-velvet feel is very comfortable. The seats are also very soft, with a strong sense of luxury. Compared with the top configuration, there are some differences: one is the ceiling material, mine is fabric, and the top configuration is suede; another is the ambient light, which only has one light strip, missing the´ò¿× positions on the door; the movable armrest box is only available in the top configuration, as well as the electric steering wheel adjustment. Everyone can pay attention to this, because most test drive cars are top configurations to avoid psychological gap.

Basically, all comfort configurations are available: front seat heating and ventilation (my model doesn't have massage for the driver's seat, which is uncomfortable ??), and steering wheel heating (Southerners say they don't need this, it's better to give me driver's seat massage). I can only comfort myself that there is a queen seat with massage, so I can lie down when I'm tired.

The air conditioning cooling effect is very good. It's an independent heat pump dual-layer flow system, but the rear row doesn't have buttons to adjust temperature and air speed, which can only be adjusted on the screen or by voice.

The sound effect is really great. There are 23 speakers in the whole car with high power. It's really enjoyable to play DJ when driving tired, with rich bass.

Although the vehicle intelligence is not as good as that of big tech companies, it is basically sufficient. It is mainly used for navigation and 360-degree images. Automatic parking is not used much, and the parking speed is quite fast, but the parking space recognition still needs improvement. If there is no empty parking space displayed on the screen, it starts to park. I don't know if it has recognized it, which makes me nervous.

Finally, regarding intelligent driving, my model is not equipped with a lidar, so there is no urban intelligent driving, only high-speed intelligent pilot assistance, which I think is sufficient. When I'm tired from driving, I can turn it on to relax my hands and feet a little. It supports autonomous lane changing and lever lane changing, but the lane changing strategy is slightly conservative, and it can't seize the opportunity to change lanes quickly when there are many cars near the exit. Generally speaking, it's only an auxiliary function and cannot be over-relied on, after all, it's not autonomous driving.

¡¾Most Dissatisfied¡¿
For the Bluetooth key, the app needs to stay active, and if you stay around the car (like getting off to plug or unplug the charging gun), it will lock and unlock frequently. I hope this can be optimized.

¡¾Summary¡¿
It's already very good to buy air suspension and CDC at this price, with CATL battery for full safety performance, high-speed intelligent driving, sufficient comfort configurations, and high cost-effectiveness.
