I compared Changan UNI-Z with BYD Song Pro and chose UNI-Z. Appearance-wise, I preferred UNI-Z initially, though its white front's contrasting black-white block was off-putting, so I picked Star Gray. UNI-Z had higher configuration at the same price; even the mid-trim met my needs, saving 7,000 yuan as the top trim's extra features like automatic parking weren't essential. Its interior felt more premium with nice faux leather, integrated seats, and a satisfactory light gray color, unlike Song Pro's conventional split headrest design and possibly fabric seats. The drive was smooth with strong power and quick acceleration, though the brakes needed getting used to due to the car's weight. The quietness was great, and the hybrid solved range anxiety, suitable for daily commuting and occasional trips.

The Changan UNI-Z has attractive exterior and interior, with stylish wheels (though replacing two costs 1,500 yuan). It has a sporty, angular look and spacious interior—I can recline comfortably in the back at 1.75m tall, while the trunk is a bit small but usable. The 1.5L engine works for highway and city driving. At over 90,000 yuan, it offers good value with full-speed adaptive cruise and lane-keeping, which are great for highway use. Drawbacks include sparse ambient lighting not surrounding the dashboard, transmission顿挫, turbo lag (no response when accelerating after braking at 30-40km/h), easy confusion between hazard lights and parking buttons, dim low beams (high beams are okay), and lack of physical buttons (concerned about future infotainment lag despite current smoothness). Overall, no car is perfect.

Rever C

I picked up my Changan UNI-Z at the end of August. The power is sufficient, allowing easy overtaking on mountain roads. With around 1,400 km driven, half on highways and half on mountain roads, the fuel cost is about 0.6 yuan per km, which varies with driving habits as I sometimes press the throttle deeply. The interior color, especially the brown I chose, is more innovative compared to traditional black or white. Though classified as a compact SUV, its over 4.7-meter length provides ample space for family use. The handling is slightly inferior to sedans or shorter cars due to its height, but it offers better passability.
