Review A
I got my driver's license on March 21 and then started looking for cars on the Dongchedi platform, torn between fuel-powered and new energy vehicles. On April 8, I went to Ankang to check out cars. After looking at several models, I went to the Haval dealership and fell in love with the second-generation Big Dog at first sight. My cousin runs a repair shop, and he first recommended the four-wheel drive fuel version because it has two locks, ensuring safety for off-road driving.
I'm into motorcycle touring and have driven on the roads in Tibet and Xinjiang, so I know the importance of two locks. Considering fuel consumption, I then looked at new energy vehicles. I thought that my future driving environment would mostly be urban roads, highways, and rural areas, so new energy vehicles would be more suitable. Additionally, some cities in the news have restrictions on fuel-powered vehicles entering certain areas, so having a green license plate allows unimpeded access. The issue was charging facilities; a lack of charging would be inconvenient. The Ziyang County Government issued a document on December 8 last year requiring vigorous development of new energy and arranging for charging infrastructure construction. Considering the government's trend of陆续 installing charging piles in the future, plus the fuel savings, I decisively bought the plug-in hybrid top configuration version on the 9th.
Through driving experience, the configuration of the Haval Big Dog II PHEV is very good. Anyway, it's very easy for a new driver to drive. It also has radar and 360-degree imaging, making it convenient to drive such a big car in and out of the garage, especially in garages with many pillars. I drove out of a two-story garage by myself. The car is very quiet when driving, and the new car has no peculiar smell. My wife gets motion sickness, so this is friendly to her, and it will be convenient to take her on trips in the future. I bought four maintenance services for 1099 yuan, a recorder for 650 yuan, window tinting for an additional 800 yuan, and I will install an engine guard later.
Review B
After looking at the Deep Blue SL03, Changan UNI-K, Song PLUS, and Frigate 07, I went to the Haval 4S store and immediately fell in love with the Dian Er Gou (the display car was a gray Dian Gou). At that moment, I completely forgot what the previous cars looked like. In terms of appearance, based on personal feeling, I prefer angular models as they look tough. The interior features off-road design grab handles, a liquid crystal central control screen, and instrument panel, all showing a sense of technology. The design of the gear display is also unique. If the Frigate 07 had such a gear display design, the instrument panel would not look so abrupt, and I might have chosen the Frigate 07 instead. In terms of power, it's okay for commuting to work, especially when starting at traffic lights, it can leave others behind. But compared to small electric cars like Tesla, the acceleration is slightly weaker, after all, it weighs over two tons. Regarding space, I am over 1.8 meters tall and weigh nearly 100 kilograms, so I am quite big. The headroom in both the front and rear rows is sufficient, more than one fist. When the front seats are adjusted to my comfortable position, the legroom in the rear row is also one fist, so the riding space is enough. However, the trunk space is a bit cramped, with a high ground clearance and small vertical space. Compared to Haval's Xiaoyao MAX, the depth is also smaller. There are quite a few issues with the infotainment system. I haven't even had the first maintenance yet, and the voice recognition sometimes activates on its own. It would suddenly mute when music is playing normally. The mobile remote control also didn't work, but it started working normally after an upgrade. The central control screen flickers, and when it flickers, touching the screen has no response. I read many owners' reviews, and none of them mentioned this problem. Could it be that only my car has this issue? At first, the central control interface only flickered on the main screen, but later the navigation and air conditioning adjustment interfaces also started flickering, and the 360-degree image interface occasionally flickers. I reported this to the 4S store. Last time when the car couldn't connect to the internet and I went to the 4S store for an infotainment system upgrade, I also asked about it. Currently, there is no solution. The reply was to see how it goes after the upgrade, but until now, it still flickers from time to time. In general, the overall experience is still good. I am quite satisfied with the hardware, but the infotainment system needs continuous improvement.
Review C
【Car Purchase Experience】
I previously drove a Borui 1.8T, which cost 90 cents per kilometer to run, and I couldn't afford it anymore, so I had the idea of switching to a hybrid. I originally looked at the Song PLUS DM-i, but accidentally saw the Ergou on Dongchedi, so I went to test drive it. I was quite satisfied with the result, so I directly placed an order.
【Driving Experience】
The chassis texture is good, and it can suppress excessive bouncing when going over speed bumps. Personally, I think it's a balance between comfort and sportiness. The body roll is also well controlled when cornering at high speeds (only for the electric Ergou, because it's heavier; I haven't driven the fuel Ergou, so I don't know). The front row has noise-canceling glass, and there's almost no noise at low speeds. The wind noise at high speeds is louder than my previous sedan, which is a model issue. The boxy shape definitely has higher wind noise and wind resistance.
【Range】
As long as you don't drive with heavy acceleration and sudden braking, the pure electric range can easily reach 100 kilometers (air conditioning at 24 degrees, level 2). The total range on urban roads and national highways can be 800-900 kilometers, and 700 kilometers on highways. This still depends on driving habits. If you keep driving at 130-140 km/h on the highway, you definitely won't reach 700 kilometers. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
【Fuel Consumption】
I have already driven 10,000 kilometers, with half on high speed and half on low speed. Recorded with Xiaongxiong Fuel Consumption, the average cost is over 30 cents per kilometer. For such a large car, I'm very satisfied with this fuel consumption.
【Power Performance】
The car accelerates quickly, and in hybrid mode, the power comes on strongly when you step heavily on the accelerator. The power is excellent, and the key point is that the power is still sufficient when driving above 120 km/h on the highway.
