Review A
My first car. I paid a reservation fee during the pre-sale period and visited several 4S stores to negotiate the price. There were almost no discounts on the new car, but a set of camping tables and chairs and a fire extinguisher were赠送. The new model has取消 the on-board charger but保留 the external discharge gun. I took delivery when it was launched, officially picking up the car on August 28th. I chose the silver body with double brown interior, a standard car. I chose silver partly because it's dirt-resistant and doesn't require frequent washing, and partly because I think it's more suitable for young people. The car has a front differential lock. I also considered the trailer资质 and wheel options, but didn't have much demand for these options. For me, who commutes daily, it's more than enough. At first glance, the new car has a sleek appearance, and it's much taller than the Envision I drove before. The procedures were quick: vehicle inspection, payment, invoice issuance, license plate registration, insurance, and license plate selection, all one-stop service. I paid 500 yuan for an agent to handle it. The vehicle management office is closed on weekends, and it's not easy to take leave on weekdays, so I was too lazy to run around. After a weekend, I received the license plate, vehicle registration certificate, and driving license. I have to say, the efficiency was really high.
In terms of driving, the high-speed quietness is excellent. At speeds of 100-120 km/h, you can barely feel any noise. I chose the Z version with a pure electric range of 200 kilometers. It is recommended that those who often drive on city roads also choose Z, because once the sentry mode is turned on, you need to charge frequently. If you don't have off-road needs, choose Z, otherwise you will definitely regret it later. At first, I was a bit unaccustomed to driving, feeling that the front of the car was very high, but with the 360-degree image and automatic parking, daily driving doesn't make the car feel big. I use Economic Smart Hybrid for daily commuting and Standard Smart Hybrid on highways. Because the speed isn't fast and I don't step hard on the accelerator, I feel that fuel intervention is still relatively rare. It's also recommended to add half a tank of oil for the first time. I filled a full tank at that time, and after driving nearly 200 kilometers, there was still about 70 liters left.
In terms of the interior, when I sit in the driver's seat, the seats are very comfortable with good support. The steering wheel is light, and the cockpit doesn't feel cramped like some cars. The only downside is that the piano paint on the front row is easy to scratch. The rear row has a newly added entertainment screen, and watching movies on the entertainment screen feels great. When you close the windows and the bass starts, it feels like watching a movie in a cinema.
In terms of intelligence, it has improved a lot compared to the previous generation. The infotainment system is smooth, and basically everything can be controlled by voice. I rarely use intelligent driving. So far, I've only driven 40 kilometers with high-speed NOA, and I still need 60 kilometers to activate urban NOA. High-speed NOA is still cautious in lane changing, maybe because I didn't choose the veteran driver mode. The logic is a bit rigid; sometimes it will follow a very slow car for a long time and needs manual turn signal to change lanes.
Overall, the improvements this time are quite significant, both in appearance and internal changes, and I am quite satisfied.
Review B
My Tank 500 Hi4-Z is the "Yi Ding Hong" version. I just bought it in February, and the car hasn't been out for very long either. Recently, I've also been watching various car reviews online and feel that everyone's attention to this car is quite high, so I might as well write a post to share my impressions of it.
First of all, in terms of appearance, I think it's quite appealing. The overall style is relatively tough, the car is quite large, and it has its own aura. In addition, in terms of paintwork, it uses a red-white gradient color scheme, which is quite个性化, and it gets a lot of回头率 when driving on the road.
The interior materials of the car are quite solid, with a large area of soft wrapping. I feel that for a hardcore off-road vehicle, the interior can reach this level, which is quite good. However, when I first picked up the car, the smell of the interior was quite obvious. Fortunately, after just a few days, it dissipated almost completely.
I think the space of the car is also good, especially the rear row. After sitting down, there's still enough room in front of the knees; visually, more than two fists is no problem. The overall width of the car is also okay; three adults sitting side by side in the rear row won't feel crowded. Also, the height inside the car is okay; at least there's no feeling of depression when sitting down. Opening the sunshade of the sunroof makes the interior feel more spacious and comfortable.
Overall, this car is relatively easy to drive, and the power is guaranteed. I checked online, and the Hi4-Z electric four-wheel drive is also specially tuned for off-road performance. Whether starting or accelerating, it's quite powerful. I've driven this car on dirt roads a few times before. With the differential lock, it's relatively easy to get over bumps and ditches, and the脱困 ability is also okay; there's no need to worry about the wheels getting stuck in a hole and not being able to get out.
I have a charging pile installed at home, so charging is convenient, so I use pure electric mode more often. The car's nominal pure electric range is 201 kilometers. Actually, in the coldest days of February, the range was still over 170 kilometers. To be honest, I'm quite satisfied with that.
Finally, to summarize briefly, after buying the car, I feel good driving it. It will be quite good as a travel car in the future. Anyway, the overall situation is like this.
Review C
Speaking of the Tank 500, I have to start with my job. I work in the engineering industry. The most commonly used vehicles at our construction site are 4WD off-road vehicles. A friend previously mentioned that the Tank 500 Hi4-T is very good; it's an off-road vehicle that can run on electricity, quite fuel-efficient, and looks good in all aspects. I gradually learned about the Tank 500 and followed it for several months. Until last year, I saw a "red屁股" (red rear) Tank 500 speeding in the desert on Douyin, which was really fast and impressive. I heard it was driven by the president of Great Wall Motors. I learned that Mr. Wei from Great Wall was testing the vehicle's performance in the desert with other drivers. I saw online reports that this car was about to be launched, and when pre-sales started in December 2024, looking at the parameters and chassis structure of the Tank 500 Hi4-Z, all aspects were quite suitable for my vehicle needs, so I decided to order this car. My impression of the Tank 500 Hi4-Z is that its exterior is grand, the interior is luxurious with a strong sense of technology, all the configurations I wanted, the workmanship is also very good, the materials are abundant, the leather quality and the solidity of the chassis are excellent. Needless to say, Great Wall's quality gives a full sense of security. It drives very comfortably, not like those large vehicles that are difficult to handle. The chassis's shock absorption is very good on asphalt roads, but a bit stiff on bumpy roads. After all, it's a body-on-frame vehicle; being too soft wouldn't work. The front and rear approach angles of the chassis are sufficient for both urban driving and simple off-roading. The only concern is the battery located under the chassis. It's quite cold in Urumqi, Xinjiang in winter. I haven't tried driving it purely on electricity in summer; without turning on the heater, the range should be longer. Driving purely on electricity is very quiet, as the entire vehicle is equipped with double-layer glass, and the sound insulation is also very good. As for power, needless to say, it's unimaginable that such a large vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 4 seconds. I've driven nearly 6,000 kilometers, with only 700 kilometers using fuel and the rest all on electricity. It's really great for urban use.
