¡¾Driving Experience¡¿
After saying goodbye to my fuel-powered car that I've driven for over nine years, the experience of switching to a new energy vehicle is truly different. Compared to the appearance and configuration, I care more about how the car drives. The driving experience of the ET5 is really impressive. This car is even more agile than my previous Mazda 3. And the difference is extremely obvious! At the same cornering speeds, the body roll of the ET5 is significantly less than that of the Mazda 3. I always thought that small cars were always more agile and easier to drive than big cars, and they could also corner faster. But the ET5 has overturned my perception this time.
¡¾Power Performance¡¿
There's no need to say much about the power, especially in the Sport+ mode. The Comfort mode is usually sufficient for daily use. The Sport+ mode is more for experiencing the sense of acceleration, just for the thrill. It's not really suitable for daily driving.
¡¾Range¡¿
I haven't paid much attention to this, not because I can swap batteries. Since I've installed a 380V charging pile at home and mainly use the car in the urban and suburban areas, and the nearest battery swapping station is over 20 kilometers away from me, I'm too lazy to swap batteries. When the battery runs out, it's fully charged after a night's sleep. In addition, NIO gives northern car owners 1000 kWh of free electricity every year. There aren't many electric cars here, so there's no need to queue. It's quite cost-effective to use this benefit to charge the car on sunny days. Usually, when I charge it to 90% in the daily use mode, the CLTC range shows 505 kilometers, and the actual range shows 485 kilometers. It takes about 35 minutes to charge from 30% to 90% using NIO's supercharger, and it takes about 4 hours to fully charge using the 380V home charger. In terms of energy consumption, the ET5 consumes more power on short trips in the city, especially on trips of 3 - 4 kilometers, with the consumption basically around 20 kWh per 100 kilometers. But when driving longer distances, the energy consumption is much lower, which is a bit like a fuel-powered car. I've achieved a minimum energy consumption of 13.1 kWh per 100 kilometers under a combined driving condition of urban, elevated roads (with slow - moving sections), and suburban areas.
¡¾Maintenance¡¿
I've never driven a new energy vehicle before, so I'm not quite sure what maintenance it requires. Maybe it's just some inspections. I've bought the "Care - free Maintenance" insurance package, so I shouldn't need to pay extra for maintenance in the first year.
¡¾Intelligence¡¿
Currently, I don't really care much about the intelligence features. There seem to be so many functions in the car. Maybe because the cars I've driven before didn't have these fancy features, I'm a bit at a loss with so much high - tech all of a sudden. I'll study it slowly later.
¡¾Interior Space¡¿
Personally, I think the interior space is okay. The ET5 is obviously more designed for solo driving, but it's definitely suitable for a family of three. If you often travel with the elderly and children during holidays, the space might be a bit cramped. In this case, I'd recommend the Zeekr 001 or the Li Auto series. Also, I'm 175 cm tall, and I don't feel that the seating position is too high, or that there's insufficient headroom in the front row or a poor view on the right side of the windshield.
¡¾Most Satisfied¡¿
Don't laugh at me. I'm just telling the truth. I'm a pure wage - earner. I've never driven a really good car for a long time. Compared to my 2.0 Mazda 3 that I've driven for 9 years and 7 months, I'm extremely satisfied with the ET5 in terms of power, handling, and comfort!
¡¾Least Satisfied¡¿
Let me talk about the things that I'm not very satisfied with. The field of view of the interior rear - view mirror is very narrow. You could almost say there's hardly any view. I'm used to using the rear - view mirror to observe the situation behind me when driving, especially when reversing. It's quite uncomfortable not having that view this time. Also, the road conditions here are quite poor. Sometimes, I can hear a slight rattling sound from the interior plastic parts when the car is bumping. The sound is very small, so it's not a big problem. Another thing is that the car is quite wide. Maybe because I'm used to small cars, I'm a bit unaccustomed to reversing this wider car (purely a personal subjective reason).

Advantages
1. The driving experience is top-notch, far surpassing my Q5 and all the fuel-powered cars I've ever driven. It's a crushing victory. On the first day of driving it, I felt like switching from a Nokia to an iPhone. The powerful acceleration and nimble handling make it feel like an extension of myself! As an avid driver, I couldn't help but exclaim that this is what a car should be! When I turn on the sport mode and speed on the expressway, my dopamine levels skyrocket. This is the real joy of life! Even if this car only had this one advantage, I'd still buy it without hesitation.
2. The intelligent driving features are amazing. The NOP can automatically change lanes, brake, and exit ramps on the highway. The automatic parking function can park the car into a space completely on its own. Most operations can be controlled via voice (Nomi), and it can even recognize who's driving and who's in the passenger seat. Looking at fuel-powered cars now, they seem like relics of the past. Technology truly changes lives.
3. It comes with a rich set of features. The seat ventilation, massage, and heating functions are a must - have for me every time I drive. Features like steering assist are great for female drivers. The audio system sounds great. The app allows you to control the car remotely, so you don't have to carry the keys. It has a dual - motor all - wheel drive, a parking guard mode, and watching movies on the big screen is like being in a cinema. Who says you don't need a fridge, TV, and a big sofa? Sitting in the car, enjoying the comfortable air - conditioning, and having a seat massage while watching a movie is a completely different experience from being at home.
4. The service is excellent. The salespeople are professional and enthusiastic. The community often hosts various activities, and the app has a great user experience.
5. Finally, let's talk about the exterior and interior. Honestly, I prefer the look of the 007, but my wife adores the looks of the ET5. Maybe NIO's designs are more appealing to women. The cement - gray exterior is imposing, the fastback design is cool, and the body lines are sharp. The purple interior is simple and elegant, flawless.
IV. Feelings
There's no perfect car in the world, just like it's impossible to find a life partner who scores full marks in every aspect. Are its advantages persuasive enough for you? Do you care about its disadvantages? The ET5 is a car whose advantages are more than enough to win me over, and I don't really mind its flaws. Since I have a home charger, it's not a hassle to charge it every day. I don't care about the range reduction. Besides, we also have a fuel - powered car at home. Hardly anyone sits in the back row, so I don't care about the rear - seat space or noise. However, the driving experience and intelligent driving are things I really care about, and fuel - powered cars can't give me that sense of oneness with the vehicle.
V. Purchase Advice
1. If you don't have an independent parking space or can't easily recharge your car near home, the experience of using an electric vehicle will be significantly reduced. Think twice before buying! Range anxiety will always haunt you, especially in Northeast China.
2. If this is going to be your only car and you often take long - distance trips with your family, think twice before buying!
If you don't fall into either of the above two situations, go ahead and buy it!

¡¾Mileage¡¿
It's been more than half a year since I picked up the car. Usually, I use it for commuting, with a round - trip distance of about 12 kilometers. Due to work, I occasionally need to drive 50 - 70 kilometers a day, and I'll carry some event materials in the car. During the Spring Festival, I took my family on a self - driving trip from Guangdong to Guangxi. So far, the car has traveled 12,000 kilometers, which is still normal.
¡¾Vehicle Appearance¡¿
Although the ET5 was already on the market when I bought my car, from a girl's perspective, I find the ducktail of the ET5 more acceptable. Although the 5T is cool, there's an indescribable sense of strangeness and it's not elegant enough.
The body of the ET5 is quite wide. My family said it looks more imposing than the GLC. So every time I turn, I'm worried it'll hit the curb. The turning radius is indeed quite large. When encountering narrow intersections, I need to turn the steering wheel several times.
After much thought, I chose the free - of - charge blue color because I think the Stratosphere Blue is a bit more distinctive. I don't like the solemnity of black, nor the taxi - like feel of white. Other colors require an additional fee, so my choices were limited.
Wheels: I love the pattern of the 19 - inch wheels (absolutely not because I'm poor). The bright orange calipers are hidden in the gaps of the wheels, which looks very cool when the car is running. The matte - textured Moon kit is low - key yet sophisticated. Since I got my Moon kit for free, if you have to pay extra for it, you might as well just get a car wrap outside.
¡¾Vehicle Options¡¿
At first, I didn't choose NOMI, thinking I could exchange it with points later. There was no hurry to get it. In November, my friend exchanged one for me with points, which was worth about more than 4,000 RMB. Maybe it's like finding a hat rack for my NOMI hat, hhh.
I paid extra for the Comfort Package because I want the car to be warm in winter and cool in summer. I believe in saving where I can and spending where it's necessary. In the hot summer, turning on the seat ventilation and air - conditioning is a lifesaver! I used it just last week. The in - car temperature showed 45 degrees Celsius. The car started blowing to cool down when I was 300 meters away from it. When I got in the car, I didn't feel hot anymore, and the temperature was about 25 degrees Celsius. The cooling efficiency was very obvious. In winter, the steering wheel heating isn't very hot, and I can only accept turning on the seat heating at the first level. Any hotter and it'll burn my butt.
I chose black for the interior, so I picked a light - colored roof to make it look more spacious and less depressing. Do you all think black interiors are stain - resistant? The sunscreen in summer will give you the answer ??. I've been wiping the car almost non - stop.
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
When our family of four went on a long - distance self - driving trip, the trunk could just fit four 20 - inch suitcases and some odds and ends, but overall, it still felt a bit short.
The front - row space is basically enough. I have long legs, so my knees would hit the front when I'm in the driver's seat, and it's not very comfortable to put my legs in the passenger seat either. However, the headroom in the back row is okay. Maybe it's because there hasn't been anyone particularly tall in my car, so no one has hit their head. It's just that it gets quite hot on the head in summer.
¡¾Driving and Handling¡¿
As my first car as a young person, I bought it without test - driving at first. After getting used to driving my own car, I'm not used to driving other cars. Although the ET5 is very sporty, when I drove my friend's old 6, I felt that the power of the SUV was even stronger. Generally, I don't like to keep a large distance from the car in front, so I'll accelerate when there's no car ahead. At the end of the month, my comprehensive energy consumption is 18.6 kWh/100 km, which has exceeded 86% of car owners in the country. I'm not that laid - back.
¡¾Intelligent Driving¡¿
I got a one - year NOP+ usage right when I picked up the car, and later the policy was updated to two years. NOP+ is very easy to use. The automatic assisted driving, adaptive cruise, and automatic car - following are very useful in traffic jams. You just need to rest your hand on the steering wheel. However, I noticed that the speed doesn't slow down when exiting the ramp on the expressway, and manual intervention is needed in time to ensure safety. There are also occasional sudden braking situations when approaching the highway toll booth.
You can safely use the automatic parking function when parking. It gives girls enough time to tidy up their odds and ends. You can park the car and get out gracefully in one go. I used it at first, but later I found it troublesome and it's faster to park it myself.
I generally don't use the vehicle remote control and vehicle summon functions because it takes a long time to connect to the car system. I don't want to wait unless it's absolutely necessary.
I usually use the personalized driving mode. I set the energy recovery to medium, the steering wheel to be heavy, and the acceleration time to more than 7 seconds. When the first battery was almost out of power, I tried the energy - saving mode. I was extremely uncomfortable with the energy recovery. It almost made me vomit.
¡¾Endurance¡¿
In daily use, I charge the car about once a week. A full charge can last for more than 400 kilometers. When I need to take a long - distance trip, I'll reserve an upgraded battery in advance. The large - capacity battery can last for more than 600 kilometers, which is enough. People also need to take a break when charging on the road.
¡¾Car - using Life¡¿
In terms of using the car, you just need to connect your phone's Bluetooth key and say goodbye to the physical key. The car starts seamlessly and locks automatically. Occasionally, when I want to show off in front of my friends, it malfunctions. The phone has to hover around the car for a while before unlocking, or I have to open the app. It seems that I have to buy a NIO Phone to make it fully compatible.
I have to say that the ET5 isn't very suitable for long - distance self - driving. My back hurts after driving for a long time, maybe due to the sitting position. Both the front and back rows can cause back pain.
