Review A
1. Space
This is the biggest factor that made me want to change my car. Since my family welcomed a baby last year, the space in my old 360 has become so cramped. I couldn't even place the baby's safety seat behind the driver's seat; it had to be placed behind the front passenger's seat. As a result, when someone sits in the back row behind the front passenger or the driver, it's like sitting on a small stool. Moreover, we go to Chongqing every month for the baby's child health check-ups, and my wife always feels very uncomfortable sitting in the back row. So, I started to think about changing my car.
2. Safety
Once I had the idea of changing my car, I looked at all the pure - electric vehicles on the market. I spent a long time in car enthusiast groups and finally set my sights on several models: Xingjiyuan ET, IM LS6, Hyper HT, and ZEEKR 7X. However, there are no 4S stores for these brands in Guang'an, so I had to go to Chongqing to see the cars. It took me three months to check out all four models back and forth. To be honest, cars at this price range are good in all aspects, and their safety is also excellent. But in the end, I gave up on all of them due to price reasons. I'll explain in detail later why the deals didn't go through.
3. Range
For new energy vehicles, the most important thing to me is the range. I'm completely uninterested in things like smart driving that every brand is hyping up these days. Otherwise, I wouldn't have driven a manual - transmission car before. The ranges of these cars were about the same during my test drives. ZEEKR's energy consumption was a bit higher, but it wasn't as exaggerated as what netizens said. Maybe I'm not as aggressive a driver as before since I had a child.
4. Interior
The interiors of the models from these brands I've seen are beyond reproach. They are all more delicate and beautiful than one another, and it's very comfortable to sit inside. In the end, I gave them up because of the price. Changan's style might be a bit flashier, and my wife quite likes it. The G6 was rejected right after the test drive. My wife vetoed it with just one vote as she didn't like the appearance. The interior of ARCFOX was probably the most satisfying. I went to test drive the T5 at that time. The salesperson said their test - drive car wasn't tinted, but even after being exposed to the sun, there was no pungent smell. My wife and I were both very satisfied with this.
Review B
After moving from the neighboring city to a third-tier city, the nature of my job changed. The daily commuting distance got longer, and I also had more opportunities to drive across cities than before. At first, I looked at the Leapmotor C11. Its cost-effectiveness and space performance were okay, but there were relatively few 4S stores, and I was not confident about the subsequent after-sales maintenance. After several rounds of test drives, I switched my target to the ARCFOX T6. The intelligent driving and large space of the ARCFOX T6 are the aspects that I'm quite satisfied with. When the rear seats are folded down, it can form an almost completely flat loading space, which is also an important factor for me to choose it.
Due to my job, I use the car quite often. The seats of the T6 are thickly padded and provide good lumbar support. I don't feel extremely fatigued after driving continuously for 2 hours. I think the chassis tuning is softer than that of the S5. When going over speed bumps, it only makes two "thumps", which is quite crisp.
In terms of sound insulation, when driving below 60 km/h in the urban area, the quietness is excellent. You can hardly hear the sound of the motor. However, when driving at 100 km/h on the highway, the wind noise is quite obvious. In terms of range, with the air - conditioning on and the car fully loaded, it's about 85% of the normal range, which is at the mainstream level anyway.
Finally, regarding the intelligent driving, I haven't tried it much because I've been busy with work. I've only tested it on a deserted road. To be honest, it really exceeded my expectations. It's quite impressive. I plan to set aside a day during the Dragon Boat Festival to specifically learn how to use the intelligent driving. Once I master it, driving will be much easier.
Review C
It's been almost a month since I picked up the car. When driving it, I don't have the same solid feeling as before. The previous one was the Jihu Alpha S! The seats aren't as soft as before; they're a bit hard. The space is okay!
Exterior: I bought the white one. It doesn't look as big as the black one. It seems a bit smaller, but actually it's quite spacious. It's more than enough for me, a 230 - pound fat guy!
Interior: Compared with the previous S, it lacks a bit of the sense of solidity and feels a bit flimsy!
Space: It's indeed a bit smaller than the S. But for someone like me with long legs and a certain weight, I don't need to lie back like in a sedan when sitting. I can sit more comfortably! In the back row, thanks to the adjustable backrest, it doesn't feel worse than the S when sitting. However, it does look a bit smaller visually. Before, I could stretch my legs more, but now I sit more upright!
Configuration: I've read some materials saying that it's no longer produced by Magna, so the quality may change a bit. But compared with other models, this one is still durable and better than the 5! There are fewer aluminum - alloy parts. The system isn't much different from the previous Intel one. Intelligence isn't very important to me! However, when connecting to Apple's CarPlay, it may freeze! The audio system can only perform well through CarPlay!
Driving experience: My family said it doesn't have the same sense of being pushed back as before. The previous S often had a strong sense of being pushed back, which was quite scary! Now this car doesn't have that; it's much smoother! Even in sport mode, the rapid acceleration is a bit slower than the previous S.
Range and energy consumption: I haven't taken a long - distance trip yet. There are no parameters on the platform, so I can't give my personal experience regarding the range.
