Review A
I'm both an owner of a BYD Dolphin and a BYD Han L. When I bought the Dolphin in 2022, I test - drove the Han DMI. It really blew me and my family away at that time. Little did I expect that the Han L would be even more amazing three years later.
¡¾Car - buying experience¡¿
The replacement subsidy this year was quite attractive, so I thought about replacing my family elder's old fuel - powered car. The fuel - powered car was mainly used by the elder to pick up and drop off the grandson. They often had to park the car for long periods, which was quite costly for a fuel - powered car. Also, the maintenance cost of a car over 5 years old keeps rising.
I travel from Guangzhou to Maoming one or two times a year. The one - way trip is about 400 kilometers. It's inconvenient to charge the Dolphin midway, so I needed a car that could cover about 400 kilometers in one go. Since pure - electric cars could meet my needs, I didn't consider hybrid ones. After some screening, it came down to the Han L and the Xiaomi SU7. In the end, the Han L gave the elders a much better experience than the SU7, so we quickly decided to buy it.
¡¾Most satisfied¡¿
The overall quality is great, fully meeting my expectations for an executive - class mid - to large - sized sedan (the older generation has a deep attachment to the Audi A6). The exterior and interior have a certain level of sophistication. It drives smoothly without being too jerky or sluggish. I thought the intelligent driving feature was just an add - on, but it's actually quite useful (the test - drive SU7 didn't have the intelligent driving function enabled, while the Han L did, which gave the Han L a big edge).
¡¾Least satisfied¡¿
It's a bit too much of an executive - class car... There seem to be fewer places to put things in the front row than in the Dolphin, and the headroom in the middle of the back row is a bit cramped.
¡¾Others¡¿
After getting the car, I found that the core selling points of the Han L are a bit awkward. Fast charging and high speed aren't necessarily what I need most. If the one - way range is sufficient and I don't need to charge midway, I'm more concerned about whether the electricity cost is affordable rather than how fast the charging is. If I use the sports mode in a family car, the elders' blood pressure will soar.
Review B
After comparing a bunch of cars priced around 200,000 yuan, I finally bought the Han L. After watching the chassis disassembly video, I found that BYD really used high - quality materials this time. What attracted me were mainly two things: the materials used and the horsepower. I don't really care about the charging speed.
Let me start with the advantages:
Previously, I drove the cheapest BYD car, the Seagull, and now I've bought the most expensive BYD sedan, the Han L. The driving experience is worlds apart. Here are some very obvious advantages:
1. The sound insulation is quite good. Both the front and rear rows are equipped with double - layer sound - insulating glass.
2. The seats fit extremely comfortably, which is on a completely different level from the Seagull.
3. In comfort mode, the acceleration is linear. The time it takes to accelerate from 0 - 60 is about the same as that from 60 - 100. There's also plenty of power above 100. At any speed, when you want to overtake, the car can accelerate smoothly. The brakes are also very comfortable, without any sense of damping.
4. The comfort - oriented configurations are top - notch, including seat massage, ventilation, and heating for both the front and rear rows, as well as the Yunliang C adjustable suspension.
5. The rear - seat space is relatively large. Due to the sunshade curtain, the headroom in the middle rear seat is limited. I'm 180 cm tall and I just don't hit my head. It's a bit taller than the Han. When I sit in the middle of the Han, I hit my head.
6. The car's intelligence is well - developed. Most functions can be operated via voice. Moreover, the wipers can automatically adjust their speed according to the rainfall, and the audio system can automatically adjust the volume based on the vehicle speed. It's quite intelligent.

¡¾Space Performance¡¿
The driving experience is very comfortable. The space is quite large, the seats are very cozy, and all kinds of configurations are fully equipped!
¡¾Appearance¡¿
Actually, I'm not really fond of the design of the exterior and interior. Fortunately, the Mo Zhu Qing car paint looks really nice. The appearance is not as good as that of the old model. As for the interior, apart from the old - man brown, there's only the dirty - looking gray. The dirty - looking gray seems okay, but it's not stain - resistant, so I didn't choose it. I picked the old - man brown, and the more I look at it, the more dissatisfied I am... Is it really that difficult to get a black interior? Fortunately, the leather feels very comfortable to the touch. The exterior and interior design department of BYD should really bow to the technical department...
When it comes to the exterior and interior, I still prefer the Song L EV. It's really a pity...
¡¾Endurance and Energy Consumption¡¿
Recently, I went on a trip and drove 2,000 kilometers on the highway. There was no range anxiety at all, and I never had to queue up for charging. If it were during holidays, I suppose I'd have to exit the highway early to charge to avoid queuing. When using the highway intelligent driving at a speed of 120 km/h with 4 people and a fully - loaded trunk, the actual endurance is about 78% of the rated range.
¡¾Charging Time¡¿
The charging speed is incredibly fast and unbeatable. On the highway, when I plugged into two 240 - kW Southern Power Grid charging piles, even when the battery was over 90% full, the charging power was still around 160 kW. I was surrounded by onlookers ??
