Review A
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
Satisfied. The wheelbase of 2,820 mm speaks for itself. I'm not tall. The rear space of this car is not only far better than that of my previous Chevrolet Sail, but also comparable to that of a B-segment car.
¡¾Energy Replenishment and Range¡¿
As shown in the picture, it takes less than an hour, about 50 minutes, to charge the car from 12% to 100%. For temporary energy replenishment during a long journey, charging for 20 or 30 minutes is enough. For a new car, the low-speed range is currently no problem. There seems to be a sign of reverse false range indication. My commute to work is about 11 kilometers. Once, after a full charge, I went to work and then went back to my hometown. I drove on national roads the whole way, and one-way was about 200 kilometers, maybe a bit more. When I got back to the unit from my hometown, there was still a range of 100 kilometers left. I just forgot to take a photo at that time. It's estimated that it can run 530 kilometers without a problem. Next time when I go back to my hometown on the highway, I'll take a photo in advance to record the range.
¡¾Strange Damage¡¿
As an experienced driver with intelligent driving assistance, there shouldn't be any major problems in theory. I never had any serious accidents with my previous Chevrolet Sail. But strangely enough, on the road I took back to my hometown last time, it was pitch dark. There was a car in front of me and another one behind me. All three cars were scratched by this kind of thing, and the scratches went through the side, which couldn't be repaired. I was the worst off. My car was still new, and two tires were scrapped. For a fuel car, you can just change a spare tire and drive off, and then find a place to repair it the next day. But our car doesn't have a spare tire or an air pump. I had to call for rescue. The repairman came, removed the tires, took them away, replaced them with new ones and then brought them back to install. So frustrating! I even set off firecrackers when I bought the car. Well, let's not talk about these sad things. I've babbled a lot without a clear main point, just saying whatever comes to mind. Welcome fellow car owners to discuss. If there are things I haven't mentioned that you're more concerned about, I'll post again later.
Review B
¡¾Service Experience¡¿
Now let me talk about my car - buying experience. There's no rating for this, but if there were, I'd definitely give it 1 star. The whole process was far from professional. I originally planned to check out the Ocean Network models first. A salesperson from that network told me this car was comparable to the 05. But when I checked the parameters, I found they weren't even from the same generation. So I didn't bother going to see it. Actually, it's comparable to the Seal 06, which I only discovered after I bought the car. During the test - drive, the test - drive specialist couldn't even answer clearly the parameters of their own brand's models. They didn't know things like the degree of something. While taking me for a test - drive, they were chatting on WeChat with someone else. It was so unprofessional. After picking up the car, I found it had been stored under a tree at the 4S store for two months. The whole car was covered in tree sap, and the chrome strips were oxidized and turned white. I had to deal with all these issues myself. So if the full score for the experience is 100, I'd only give it 18. It's really just... amazing in a bad way.
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
Comparing the front - to - rear space with the DMI models, it seems a bit lacking. This car is supposed to be a B - class vehicle, but there's still a big difference when compared to cars like the Accord. However, thanks to the CTB architecture, the headroom is quite good. I'm 182 cm tall, and there's still plenty of space above my head. The trunk is just average. The best part is the frunk. It's quite large; a kid could sit in it comfortably.
¡¾Range and Energy Consumption¡¿
Next, let's talk about energy consumption. The claimed range is 470 km, but for the Plus model with the same battery capacity, the claimed range is 410 km. It seems a bit false. In actual tests in the city, the range is 350 - 380 km, about 80% of the claimed range. On the highway, it's more pleasant. At an average speed of 90 km/h, when most people drive at 120 km/h, it can run about 300 km. These are actual test results. On the highway, it's about 63% of the claimed range, which is quite a pleasant surprise. The highway range is based on a 30 - degree battery capacity, with the air - conditioner set at 26 degrees throughout the journey and a load of 4 people.
¡¾Assisted Driving¡¿
Assisted driving is something I really want to talk about. Please remember, it's "assisted driving", "assisted driving", "assisted driving"! I'm saying this three times because it's important. Never overly rely on it. Don't believe the so - called intelligent driving promoted by the manufacturer. Its essence is just assisted driving. Here, I'll share two situations I encountered, and then you'll understand why I'm saying this. The first one was on a fast road when using intelligent driving. When two lanes merged into one relatively wide single lane, the car automatically centered and moved to the right. Just then, a car on the right overtook illegally. The intelligent driving system just forced itself in front of that car, and I had to forcefully take control back. The second situation was on the highway. It loves to change lanes, and it even crossed the solid line to change lanes under a speed - measuring light. Intelligent driving can relieve you of some stress, but you can't rely on it.
¡¾Charging Time¡¿
I haven't tested the full fast - charging time. I mostly charge the car at home. I did test it on the highway when the remaining battery was 6%. The maximum charging power was about 80 kW. There's still a gap compared to the mid - range version.
¡¾Interior¡¿
For the interior, I chose the all - black one. It looks more technological than the black - and - white combination, and it's also more stain - resistant. This is the biggest improvement of this generation of the Qin L compared to the previous Plus model. It has a very premium look, which is really great. The soft - padding coverage is quite good, but there's a strong odor inside the car. I specifically removed the interior panel and took some pictures of the inside to show you. The car uses a lot of recycled cotton as sound - absorbing material, which is the main reason for the strong odor. This has also been verified in the reviews of third - party car bloggers. The biggest sources of formaldehyde and TVOC are the floor, followed by the seats. There's also new polyester fiber cotton filled inside the rear wheel arches, with a density of about 20 kg/m?. To be honest, it only helps with high - frequency sounds and is almost ineffective for low - and mid - frequency sounds. If you have the chance, you can modify it yourself.
¡¾Driving Experience and Chassis Quality¡¿
Compared to previous generations of the BYD Qin, this generation has made significant improvements. The chassis has changed from being heavy to being light and flexible with good toughness. The shock absorbers don't have any unnecessary bouncing. It also maintains a certain level of comfort. However, in extreme driving situations, the handling regularity is lacking, especially when compared to the Seal 06 with the Yunlian system. But for family use, the handling is just right. I highly recommend it to family users.
Review C
It has a relatively steady and grand exterior, with a spacious and comfortable interior that is simple and clear. The configuration is also quite rich, and it has powerful performance. As long as you step on the accelerator, it can meet your driving needs. The intelligent in - vehicle system is very flexible and smooth to use. Now, let's talk about its battery life. The battery life is average, and it consumes power quite quickly, especially when using the air - conditioner or listening to music, the battery level drops rapidly. Just as no gold is pure and no person is perfect, let alone a car. Generally speaking, I still like it quite a lot.
