Review A
¡¾Charging Time¡¿
Regarding the charging pile! Everyone, pay attention. BYD does not provide free installation of the charging pile for the travel - version vehicles. At first, when the 4S store told me that they would charge for the installation, I was also surprised! I even specifically called BYD's headquarters customer service to inquire, and indeed, the installation is not free.
¡¾Endurance¡¿
I bought this car to run a ride - hailing service. The car shows a range of 500 kilometers, but the actual range is 470 kilometers. If the air - conditioner is on for cooling, it can only run about 400 kilometers.
If you're going to run a ride - hailing service, I suggest you must buy a car with an actual range of no less than 400 kilometers. Don't be greedy for a cheap car with an actual range of only 300 kilometers. My car with a 400 - kilometer range can run all day without charging. A car with a 300 - kilometer range has to recharge at least 30% of its battery at noon or in the afternoon. The peak - time electricity price here is 1.7 yuan per kilowatt - hour, so you'll have to spend 30 - 40 more yuan on electricity every day. I just charge my car at home after work at night, and it only costs 0.51 yuan per kilowatt - hour. I can fully charge it for just over 30 yuan and run it for a whole day!
¡¾Driving Experience¡¿
Overall, it's okay. The suspension is a bit soft! However, the A - pillar of this car is a bit thick, resulting in a relatively large blind spot. You must be more careful when turning! Actually, I originally planned to buy an Aion, but unfortunately, the Aion has a torsion - beam suspension, which I really can't accept. Moreover, BYD's three - electric systems are more reliable than those of assembled cars like Aion!
¡¾Power Performance¡¿
The power is relatively poor. The top speed is only 130 kilometers per hour, and the 0 - 100 km/h acceleration probably takes more than 10 seconds. I haven't actually measured it! It's okay for daily passenger - carrying use.
¡¾Intelligence¡¿
It doesn't have ACC adaptive cruise, lane - keeping assist, or a 360 - degree panoramic view. The car's infotainment system can control apps, the air - conditioner, the sunroof, and the windows by voice. The image quality of the original reversing camera is quite poor!
Review B
1. Vehicle usage needs: I already have two fuel-powered cars. Considering the convenience of getting around in the vicinity, I bought this pure electric vehicle. I don't have high requirements for the range. Of course, if the conditions allow, it's always right to choose a model with a larger range. Because when factoring in power loss and air - conditioning power consumption, the actual range is roughly half of the stated range. Especially for those who don't have a home charger installed or need to travel long distances, it's better to buy a car with a larger range.
2. Range situation: The stated range of the Transcendence model is 420 kilometers. When commuting in the city, it can travel about 220 kilometers with 33% of the battery remaining. If you keep 30% of the battery, you'll need to charge it once a week.
3. Charging time: The household charger that comes with the car has a very low power. It takes over 25 hours to fully charge the car. The charging pile has a higher power and it takes about 6 hours, which is acceptable. I haven't used fast charging yet.
4. Car - buying experience: There are few local 4S stores, and there is a phenomenon of regional price control. There aren't many discounts. It mainly relies on subsidy policies. Those who aren't in a hurry can wait. I think there's still room for the price to drop. The free gifts mainly include: free installation of the charging pile, window tinting, car carpets, a dash cam, battery and motor protection plates, three free maintenance services, and one beauty coupon.
5. Imperfections: The right rear - view mirror doesn't tilt down when reversing. There's no sound reminder when locking or unlocking the car. The power and torque are relatively small. The brakes are too soft, the chassis suspension is too stiff, and there's no external power - discharge device included.
6. Advantages: The intelligent voice function frees your hands. You can remotely control the car to turn on the air - conditioning in advance. The 360 - degree view plus front and rear sensors make driving safer. The tire - pressure monitoring system is very intuitive.
7. I've driven safely for 500 kilometers so far. I'll share more car - using experiences and feelings with you in the future. If you have any questions, you can leave comments or have a private chat with me. Welcome everyone or groups to discuss experiences together.
Review C
It has good looks. In particular, the welcome lights, sequential turn signals, and the rear through-type headlights are really appealing (I didn't notice them when buying the car. I was a bit pleasantly surprised when I saw a car of the same model at night). The seats inside the car are quite comfortable, and the front-row lateral space is also decent (I remember the lateral space on the passenger side of the Lynk & Co 01 was really poor. It was quite cramped!). However, the interior materials around the legs are a bit hard, and taller people may feel their feet getting bumped. The voice assistant Xiaodi performs well, and the range is also okay. However, the wind noise is a bit loud, and it would be better if the acceleration were a bit faster. Additionally, the brakes seem to have a bit of free play at the beginning. There's not much sense of roll when turning, and the chassis is quite firm. But the multi-link suspension at the rear is a bit underwhelming and has limited effect, and its impact is not very noticeable. Overall, it's rather mediocre and should be quite suitable for middle-aged people to drive. Considering the price and the range (it's about 80% of the full range in winter without driving on the highway, and about 1:1 in hot weather without driving on the highway), and compared with gasoline cars (the 2016 Geely Emgrand automatic), which have a roaring sound and a slightly sluggish reaction, the current driving experience is quite good. To add, using the charging pile given by BYD (rated at 7kW but actually about 6kW. Since there's about 80 meters from the electricity meter to the pile, the line loss is relatively large), it takes about 8.5 hours to charge the vehicle from 20% to full. The ratio of the actual amount of electricity charged into the vehicle to the electricity consumption shown on the meter is about 83%.
