¡¾Car Purchase Experience¡¿
The Mustang has always been my dream car. I love its powerful lines and have always wanted to buy a V8 Mustang. However, I have to take my family into consideration. If it's just a fun car, my financial situation simply doesn't allow it. Since I learned that there's an electric version of the Mustang, I've been eager to buy one. This year, taking advantage of the national subsidy, I planned to buy an additional larger family car. I had been looking for more than a month and almost made a decision. By chance, I learned that there was a discount on the electric Mustang, so I took my wife to check it out right away. We both liked the appearance. Without test - driving, we placed an order the next day ??. It kind of fulfilled my Mustang dream.
¡¾Driving Experience¡¿
It's made for drivers. The driving experience is excellent. The acceleration is smooth, the steering is precise, and it's easy to handle. I have full confidence when overtaking. Moreover, Ford's regenerative braking system is amazing. It's completely unnoticeable, and the whole process can only be described as smooth.
¡¾Riding Experience¡¿
As I mentioned before, it's made for drivers. The experience in other seats is just average. It's basically impossible to sit in the middle of the back row, but the rest is okay. Generally speaking, it's great for a four - person trip.
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
The rear - seat space is more than enough, but it can't compare with other cars in the same class.
¡¾Range¡¿
The range exceeded my expectations. It's rated for a 700 - kilometer range. In summer, with the air - conditioner set at 24 degrees all the way, I can actually drive over 550 kilometers on a combination of city roads, expressways, and national roads. To be honest, compared with my wife's car, which only has 50% of its rated range in winter and summer, I'm very satisfied. I think it can probably run close to 700 kilometers in spring and autumn ????. Of course, this is just an estimate based on my experience with the energy consumption of my previous electric car in spring and summer. Anyway, I'm very satisfied with the range.
¡¾Intelligence¡¿
Ford's BlueCruise is certified at the L2 level. It may not be as advanced as some domestic intelligent driving systems, but I'm still a bit worried about fully autonomous driving. The BlueCruise of the electric Mustang is just right for me. I can take my hands off the wheel on expressways and highways. On daily city roads, the lane - keeping function can effectively avoid many unexpected situations. The reverse - warning and automatic - braking functions are great. They're decisive when dealing with emergencies. Once when I was reversing in a complex situation, it helped me avoid an accident ?? (On a busy street, the roadside was full of electric bikes and shared bikes, and electric bikes were weaving in and out of the lanes. My car was about to hit a shared bike. I was still reversing while focusing on the car in front, and then a car suddenly cut in from the side. My foot was still on the accelerator, but the intelligent driving system just stopped the car immediately.) The parking - assist function doesn't mean much to a ten - year veteran driver like me. I tried it. Every time the car got too close to the cars on both sides, I lost confidence to continue, so I basically haven't used it much. But overall, it's sufficient.
¡¾Highlight Features¡¿
The interior is fully wrapped in FP leather and carbon fiber. The B&O sound system has 10 speakers in a surround setup, providing an ultimate audio experience. It has an 80 - kWh battery pack, and the overall configuration is top - notch. Can you ask for more at this price? ?? The system may be criticized, but as a programmer, I'm attracted by the system's degree of perfection: the logic of the in - car system, the display logic of the central console and instrument panel, the mobile app, etc., can only be described as "sexy". I've driven quite a few cars and test - driven many new - energy vehicles. Ford shows an extremely well - developed system, not a half - baked one. It's a pity that the in - car software is a bit outdated, but it's still okay for daily use, and it also supports CarPlay.
Review B
The Ford Mustang Mach - E is a rare SUV in this price range that puts handling on its promotional materials. However, domestic consumers don't seem to be interested in cars that emphasize sportiness, except for Tesla. Why the exception? It's because of the charisma of Elon Musk behind it.
Let's get back to this car. It has launched the 2024 models this time, with upgraded motors and batteries. The GT version has achieved a 0 - 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.57 seconds. To be honest, it's quite terrifying, and it also gives the car some promotional gimmicks. Since we're talking about handling, let's talk about its performance on the track below.
¡¾Track performance¡¿Since it's a four - wheel - drive vehicle, this car is quite like a track car. As long as you're not stubborn, the driving trajectory can basically follow your expectations. Its brakes and steering are both excellent. When you press the brake deeply, the braking force is strong, and you can have great confidence when making a heavy brake before entering a curve. The steering is also very flexible, which results in a very obedient front end. Coupled with the already sporty suspension tuning, the lateral support control is also good, which continues the excellent handling genes of the Mustang family.
¡¾Daily performance¡¿
The daily performance is a mixed bag. The brakes work well on the track, but in the city, there is a large amount of free play in the initial stage, and the braking force comes on rather abruptly after pressing deeply, which is not easy to control. The chassis has a strong sense of the road surface, but it still has a sense of sophistication, and the vibration transmitted into the car is not abrupt. In terms of sound insulation, the tire noise is quite obvious. The Pirelli P0 has never performed very well in this aspect. In the unrestrained steering mode, there is a sense of segmentation in the central area, and the change of the self - centering force is not very linear. I personally don't like it very much. It's okay in other modes and relatively smooth.
¡¾Design and space¡¿
My favorite is the Storm Edition. The yellow paint is both flashy and stylish, and it can really turn heads when driving on the street. The interior design is relatively simple, and the materials and workmanship are not too good. Integrating the speaker grille into the center console area is a highlight of the design. The storage space is okay, with cup holders and a wireless charging panel. Although the rear row is not very spacious, the seating position is excellent.
Review C
[Driving Experience] Actually, I've been driving at breakneck speed on the race track for several consecutive races these days. There have been new energy vehicles with a 0 - 100 km/h acceleration time of just over 3 seconds, as well as fuel - powered cars focusing on handling. However, they almost only have one specialty. Who among adults wants to make a choice? With the idea of "I want them all", I put on my helmet and drove the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach - E GT onto the brand - new track. During the first lap, I was just getting familiar with the track like taking a stroll, and I already realized that the 2024 Mustang Mach - E GT was something special. The reason was that I had just weighed it, and now the performance of its chassis didn't seem like that of a vehicle weighing over two tons. So at the end of the straight on the second lap, I didn't hesitate to step on the accelerator pedal all the way down. The torque of 860 N¡¤m burst out instantly, and my back was pressed firmly against the seat. The acceleration felt like a roller - coaster ride. Soon, I reached the braking point at Turn 1. The vehicle built up braking force very quickly, smoothly reducing the exit speed from 220 km/h to 70 km/h. The apex of the turn was a bit far back, and I was a bit unsure for a second. But the well - directed front of the car immediately restored my confidence. And the next second, the clear feedback from the rear - wheel tracking told me that this vehicle could handle it. Not even the tires squealed, let alone the understeer I had imagined. Since it was so reliable, I had to give it a good workout in the next few turns. There is a consecutive S - bend followed by an uphill in the middle section of the Tianfu Track. This not only poses high requirements on the vehicle's handling and chassis suspension but also requires continuous power output when "accelerating" at the last turn. A car like the 86 with good handling but mediocre power would probably struggle here. And for those dual - motor electric cars that are just fast in a straight line, their speed would drop to around 50 km/h before the final uphill. After these thoughts flashed through my mind, I glanced at the exit and uphill exit speed of the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach - E GT - 68 km/h. Because it can really hug the apex tightly with high - level handling, there is ample room to make the most of every inch of the track. Of course, no car is perfect. Still due to its weight, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach - E GT has an obvious critical point for its exit speed. If this critical point is exceeded, there will be obvious tire squealing. Fortunately, the dual - motor all - wheel - drive system won't let such a situation last long. Through the adjustment of the torque difference between the inner and outer wheels, potential dangers can still be easily resolved. After getting a better understanding of this car, it was much easier to take on the second round of the Gymkhana track set up with cones. For me, the first two laps to get familiar with the route became very easy. The best time of the previous group was 32.4 seconds, and I clocked in at 32.56 seconds on the second lap. Since there was already good communication between the driver and the car, I just needed to have a little control on the last lap and make a sprint on the short straight. Finally, I smoothly parked in the designated parking area. The V - BOX showed that the final time was locked at 31.75 seconds, and I took the first place! Finally, in the third round of the drifting experience, I turned off the ESC, smoothly turned the steering wheel, stepped on the "accelerator" and then counter - steered in one go. Without any surprises, the car would drift smoothly. As for how long and how circular the drift could be, it all depended on my own operation. Most of the people present went from being novices with no drifting experience to junior drifters who could drift for a short distance in just 5 - 10 minutes. As a result, many people, including me, had a great time.
