Review A
¡¾Driving Experience¡¿
The handling ability of this SUV stands out in its class. In Sport mode during aggressive driving, the steering feel is extremely sharp, and the chassis dynamics are also very agile. Thanks to the active anti-roll bars, the roll is well suppressed. It doesn't feel like a large 5-meter SUV at all; it feels more like a large GT. Of course, it's also suitable for daily commuting. In Tour mode, the driving quality is very high-end. It retains the road feel while being quite comfortable, which meets the positioning of a luxury SUV.
¡¾Power Performance¡¿
Online, some people often complain that a car with over 600 horsepower takes 4.5 seconds for the 0 - 100km/h acceleration. In fact, the acceleration curve of the Eletre is relatively smooth, and its strength lies in the mid - and late - stage acceleration. On the highway, when you step on the accelerator, the power keeps coming. It doesn't accelerate like a rocket at the beginning and then lose steam in the mid - and late - stages like many electric vehicles. Its overall setting is more like that of a fuel - powered performance car. Only those who don't understand cars would always focus on the 0 - 100km/h acceleration time. There are many other aspects of real performance worth paying attention to.
¡¾Appearance¡¿
It's just incredibly cool. This car doesn't photograph well, but when you see the real thing, it's very impactful. The real car has a low and wide stance. Coupled with the aerodynamic design of the whole vehicle, it looks extremely fierce, like a tough guy.
¡¾Interior¡¿
Both the interior design and workmanship are excellent. The two narrow screens plus the large HUD are very distinctive. It's much better in terms of design sense than just blindly stacking screens. It combines sportiness, luxury, and a sense of technology. The seats are a bit firm, which is normal for a sporty model. They have great wrapping and support. When you switch to Sport mode, the seats can tighten up. The biggest complaint is that the wireless phone charging slot is too shallow. The phone often "takes off" during hard acceleration, and the power seems to be only 5W. I hope they can quickly come up with a modification kit similar to that of the Emeya.
¡¾Space¡¿
The space is quite large. After all, this is the largest Lotus ever. You can sit however you like in the front row. The back row is not extremely large considering its size, but it's still more than enough for sitting. Usually, there are at most two people in my car, so I don't use the back row often and don't have a strong perception of its space. The trunk space is also large. I estimate that four large suitcases can fit in it. If you don't choose the four - seat version, you can even fold down the back seats and use it like a cargo van.
¡¾Range¡¿
I picked up my car in October. It was very cold in winter when I got it. The power consumption was at least 26 - 27%, and it could reach 30% if I drove more aggressively. Usually, when it's charged to 90%, the range is around 300 kilometers. Now that the temperature has risen, the power consumption has dropped to about 21 - 22%. When charged to 90%, it can reach about 450 kilometers. The range shown on the meter is quite accurate. The impact of temperature is really obvious, but generally, the range is still sufficient.
¡¾Charging¡¿
Charging at Lotus's fast - charging stations is very quick. Usually, when I charge it to 90%, it takes 45 - 50 minutes only in winter when the temperature is below minus ten degrees Celsius. At other times, it basically takes only 20 - 30 minutes.
PS: The fast - charging stations are really cool and full of a sense of technology. I just hope that more stations can be built in Beijing soon!
¡¾Intelligence¡¿
The hardware is top - notch, but the software needs improvement. In terms of intelligence, it's just okay and usable. The automatic parking function can hardly recognize parking spaces, but it follows the vehicle well on the road and can be useful in traffic jams. However, I had mentally prepared myself when I bought it. The most important thing is to have a great driving experience. Each OTA update adds a lot of content. It has improved a lot compared to when I first got the car. It can't compete with the first - tier models but is better than traditional car manufacturers. Recently, the high - speed pilot function was added through an OTA update. I'll try it when I have a chance.
¡¾Service¡¿
Lotus's maintenance vehicles deserve special mention. They are always on call. When I called for the first time, I was a little shocked by all the equipment on it. Besides the regular tire - repair and balancing equipment, it even has a car lift. It really feels like a racing rescue vehicle. It's very professional, and the experience is great.
Review B
I've been driving this car for some time, so I'd like to share my feelings.
Let me start by explaining why I bought it:
1. It all began with its looks. Although opinions on appearance vary, I still remember the shock when I first saw the actual car. It's hard to gauge the car's size from pictures, and the same goes for details like the pearl paint.
2. Driving and handling. I'm not someone who has extremely high demands for acceleration. I used to drive a lot of BBA cars. Lotus is the first car that made me fall in love with driving. Whether it's starting, accelerating, or turning, the handling that responds precisely to my commands and the road - feel are unmatched by ordinary cars. I test - drove the Lotus first. After that, I test - drove the GLE and X5, and then went straight to pick up the Lotus. (These are just my personal feelings, no intention to praise or belittle, so please don't attack me.)
3. Interior. I think this aspect was previously underestimated. Compared with the excessive use of large screens, the combination of the strip - shaped screen and the main screen seems more harmonious to me. Every mechanical button is extremely delicate. The mechanical feeling and the sound when toggling them are a real treat. The large - area use of Alcantara and genuine leather gives it a luxurious feel.
4. Service. There's nothing to complain about. I've had the car for over a month and have enjoyed a lot of perks. The service standards are top - notch. Whether it's receiving gifts during festivals, participating in occasional owner events, or getting 24 - hour standby service from the maintenance engineering vehicles from pre - purchase to after - sales, it all makes me feel great.
5. Charging. There's a fast - charging station near my home. While others pay 4.6 yuan per kilowatt - hour, owners get free charging for life. I can go up and buy a cup of coffee, and when I come back, the car is fully charged. It's amazing. I only spend money on insurance throughout the year. I should be able to save about 20,000 yuan a year compared to similar gasoline cars.
Review C
Appearance: It deserves a full score. There are no flaws to pick out. The colors are all really cool. The car paint craftsmanship is truly impeccable. It looks amazing and is instantly captivating at first sight.
Interior: My previous cars were a Honda and a Toyota. I bought a Model Y at the beginning of this year. So personally, I think this car's interior is great. It is fully equipped and has a good texture. Haha.
Power: It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Although it feels quite fast, considering the price, the data is indeed a bit lacking. Other domestic electric vehicles can achieve faster acceleration. In fact, the power is really sufficient. The tuning of this car favors the later stage, and it can reach a top speed of about 260 km/h. To be honest, it's enough. However, there's really no need for it to stand out compared to other electric vehicles.
Endurance: The actual endurance of the S+ model is just over 500 kilometers, provided that you drive in the economy mode, precisely control your pedal work, don't stomp on the accelerator suddenly, and don't brake frequently. If you drive aggressively, the endurance is up for debate.
Infotainment system: It's quite disappointing. After driving a Model Y, I can only say that this infotainment system is just barely usable. It's equipped with dual 8155 chips, yet the infotainment system is only at this level. Well, it's something... It's only a bit better than the infotainment systems of traditional fuel - powered vehicle manufacturers and lags far behind those of the first - tier domestic electric vehicle brands. It can only be considered second - tier, or even among the lower - ranking ones. I hope it can be improved through OTA updates later.
Overall, it's a great car. I really like it. I always take a few extra looks at it every time I get out of the car. I really love it. People often ask what kind of car it is and how much it costs. After I tell them the price, they generally ask why it's so expensive. It's really hard to explain to others what makes this car so good. I can't just say it has invincible handling, rich configurations, and an affordable price, haha.
However, the air suspension + active anti - roll bar + the chassis tuned by Lotus are really excellent and well worth buying.
Other flaws can be ignored. I recommend purchasing it.
Car - buying experience: I placed an order in June and picked up the car in mid - October. There was no progress in the delivery process during that time, which really frustrated those of us waiting for the car. I originally wanted to cancel the order and switch to a Defender or a Cayenne, but then the delivery suddenly made progress, so I didn't change my mind. All the previous unpleasantness vanished the moment I got the car.
