Review A
Advantages: 1. The car has a very beautiful exterior. When parked on the roadside, it easily attracts onlookers who ask about the price. Although the taillights might not be easily accepted by everyone, it's a matter of personal preference, and as long as you like it, that's all that matters. 2. In terms of the interior, the overall design style is good and gives a sense of luxury. 3. Although it's a single-motor vehicle, the power is more than enough for daily use. As a rear-wheel-drive car, it performs well on mountain roads. 4. It has a relatively long range. You can go to the suburbs for a day trip on mountain roads and basically don't need to recharge midway.
Disadvantages: 1. The bezels of the three screens on the driver's side are too thick, making them look cheap. Also, the full-size steering wheel blocks the two side screens, making the panoramic imaging system almost useless. 2. After using the car for about a year, it was found that the front passenger seat makes noise (it makes noise when unoccupied, but the noise disappears when someone is sitting). However, the after-sales service has not been able to solve this problem. 3. The car control app has few functions. As a new energy vehicle, it lacks records such as driving logs and doesn't have features like the sentry mode. The car system is also very similar to that of traditional fuel vehicles (it's too stupid and mechanical. For example, it can't recognize the instruction "Play local music", but after giving the instruction "Play music from the USB drive", the car system will give a voice prompt saying "Okay, now I'll play local music for you").
Overall evaluation: The car is generally very good, with excellent performance in various aspects and offers a lot of driving pleasure. The 4.9-second 0 - 100km/h acceleration, convertible top, and scissor doors are really a lot of fun! However, there is still room for improvement in terms of details and quality control.
Review B
Advantages and Disadvantages:
Appearance:
It's super cool. If you drive this car near schools or university towns, a bunch of people will take pictures beside it. The real car looks even better than in the photos. (Latest evaluation in January: Opinions from passers - by are divided. Some say it's MG converting a fuel - powered car into an electric one, and some wonder if MG has released a sports car. But there are more exclamations of surprise. It's so funny. When I went to Jiangmen for a hot spring, the security guard saluted me from afar. An uncle even cycled from far away to ask me if it was an MG sports car - see the 5th picture. Then when I drove to the middle - school dormitory, the students upstairs shouted and said it was so cool, haha.)
Endurance and Energy Consumption:
At a constant speed of 120 km/h on the highway, it can run 420 km (verified by actual test). In the city, it can run about 480 - 500 km. (Latest evaluation in January: It can run at most 350 km on the highway and 450 km in the city.)
Charging Time:
It's similar to that of ordinary electric cars, neither fast nor slow.
Assisted Driving:
It's much better than BYD's. Occasionally, it can't recognize the lane, but overall it's okay. (Latest evaluation in January: The automatic braking is too aggressive. It often scares me so much that I'm still in shock. I can't stand it anymore.)
Intelligent Cockpit:
The in - car voice system "Zebra" is quite weak. It may not even answer 1 + 1 correctly. But you can listen to music on NetEase Cloud. However, there's no browser and you can't download apps, which is even worse than BYD... Oh, it has Bilibili to watch, haha.
Space Performance:
It's a two - seater car, so don't expect too much space. There are two cup - holders in the middle. You can only place your phone vertically beside them. The armrest box can hold some small sundries. You can put some regular items behind the middle of the rear seats, that's all. The trunk can hold two regular suitcases, but not the extra - large ones.
Most Dissatisfied:
1. It doesn't have NFC function, so you can't unlock the door by just touching it with your phone or watch.
2. You still need to enter a password to unlock the door via the APP! I usually don't carry the key and use my phone to unlock the door. But having to enter the password every time is just ridiculous. The APP has almost no functions. It can only remotely lock and unlock the door, turn on the air - conditioner in advance, give permission to others, or locate the car, that's all... There's no function to remotely control the car to move forward, backward, left or right via the APP, although there's a key in the trunk to control forward and backward movement. (Latest evaluation in January: Turns out the password for unlocking the door via the APP can be turned off. So funny.)
Most Satisfied:
1. Battery pack protection - There's a protection of a metal plate and a plastic plate under the chassis battery pack. It scraped against a relatively high curb once, but after inspection, it was okay. When I knocked on it, I found that the bottom of the battery pack is a metal plate.
2. I replaced the wind deflector myself, and there are various colors, looking so cool.
3. The half - wheel steering wheel is really cool. The main thing is that it doesn't block the screen or the navigation.
Review C
Who doesn't like sports cars? They have a low center of gravity, high horsepower, cool looks, and are a blast to drive!
Moreover, do you like the kind that doesn't use gasoline or burn engine oil?
[Exterior Design]
Convertible, scissor - door, two - door, two - seat all - electric sports car - MG Cyberster
MG is a company that specializes in making sports cars. It's not their first time producing sports cars. The MG TF sold in China before was a mid - engine, rear - wheel - drive, two - door, two - seat small sports car. MG Cyberster pays tribute to the legendary model MGB, perfectly inheriting the pure beauty of a sports car from the overall look to the details.
The doors of a two - door sports car are quite long. The regular doors of the Nezha GT are too wide. So, apart from looking cool, scissor doors can also save some lateral space.
If you don't know, you might think the taillights are from a sprinkler truck. But the arrows aren't turn signals; they're brake lights. Indeed, once you see them, you'll have an urge to overtake.
Joking aside, the design inspiration actually comes from half of the British Union Jack, just like MINI. We have to admit that the design of MG Cyberster is very beautiful.
[Body Dimensions]
In fact, the size of MG Cyberster isn't small. It's much larger than the Mazda MX - 5 and even bigger than the Porsche 718 Boxter! It weighs 1985kg. There's no way around it; the battery is really heavy.
It's equipped with 20 - inch wheels, with 245/40 front tires and 275/35 rear tires. Since the rear motor has higher power, it needs more grip!
The four - piston red Brembo calipers are very eye - catching. The braking distance from 100 - 0 is 33m, and the data is very impressive.
[Interior Experience]
The convertible top can open and close within 10 seconds at speeds below 50km/h. It closes quite fast when it rains.
For a sports car, the most important things are the steering wheel and the seats:
The flat - bottomed steering wheel isn't large in size, and the grip isn't very full.
There are paddles on both sides. The left one is for energy recovery, and the right one is for selecting driving modes.
Even though it's an all - electric sports car, the seating position in Cyberster is quite low, at least much lower than that in the NIO ET5.
The Y - shaped integrated seats look very beautiful. The areas that come into contact with the body are made of suede material to increase friction.
It's a pity that the headrest doesn't have a heated neck warmer, and the wrapping feeling during intense driving is a bit lacking.
The design is great. It has a layout that's completely driver - oriented. With the three - screen surround, the sense of combat is still there!
The left - hand screen displays vehicle status, tire pressure, G - force, timing function, etc. But sometimes, some information gets blocked by the steering wheel.
[Chassis Experience]
The soul of a sports car is its chassis! How is the chassis of MG Cyberster tuned?
Let's get straight to the point: It's not a track - focused weapon. It doesn't have the tightness of a hardcore sports car. Instead, it offers a more relaxed and comfortable driving experience.
The roll during cornering isn't small, but the grip perception is good. In fact, the MX - 5 also has significant roll. It doesn't mean that the smaller the roll, the better the grip.
The steering feel is relatively light, and the yaw response is faster than that of most all - electric family sedans. The feeling when cornering is very agile.
The ESP can be completely turned off, and the four - wheel drive can be switched to rear - wheel drive. So, the fun of a sports car is guaranteed.
The power is exhilarating. It has 544ps and 725 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 - 100 in 3.2s. The maximum power of the dual - motor four - wheel drive is the same as that of the Feifan F7 Performance Edition. Is this a coincidence?
[Test - Drive Conclusion]
When I first saw the MG Cyberster, I thought of the MX - 5.
Both are mid - engine convertible sports cars. But the fun of the MX - 5 lies more in its nimble body and the sense of participation with the manual transmission.
The MG Cyberster, on the other hand, feels more like a convertible GT, with higher horsepower, quieter motors, and more comfortable shock absorption!
