¡¾Car Purchase Experience¡¿
As an old P7 owner, my core requirement when changing cars was very clear - I just wanted a car with a longer range. I visited the auto show some time ago and checked out many brands, but in the end, I couldn't resist choosing the XPENG P7+. To be honest, at first, I only knew it had a 5C version. I didn't expect it to come standard with a CDC suspension. This really exceeded my expectations and gave me a huge sense of surprise!
From submitting the replacement application to finally picking up the car, it only took about half a month. The efficiency was much faster than I expected. After driving it for more than half a month, the most intuitive feeling is that the temperament of the P7+ is completely different from the old P7. But this "difference" actually satisfies me a lot. After all, the purpose of changing cars is to experience new things.
¡¾Least Satisfied¡¿
Firstly, the logic of the automatic windshield wipers is a bit inaccurate. Sometimes, when the rain is clearly not heavy, the automatic wipers move very fast. After lowering the speed by one level, I feel they move too slowly, and there will be obvious water marks on the front windshield, which affects visibility. I hope the control logic of the wipers can be optimized through OTA upgrades in the future to solve this small problem.
Secondly, the phone's Bluetooth induction for unlocking/locking the car is too sensitive. Sometimes, when I'm standing at the rear of the car having a cigarette, without touching my phone or the car door, the car will lock itself for no reason. Sometimes, just after I open the trunk to put things in, before I'm done, it unlocks and locks again automatically. It's a bit of a hassle. Later, I came up with a solution. I used my points to exchange for a physical key. Now I mainly use the physical key to unlock and lock the car, and this kind of situation hasn't happened again.
¡¾Range and Energy Consumption¡¿
I chose the 20 - inch wheels for my P7+. I thought the energy consumption would be higher with larger wheels, but the actual driving experience is completely different. When commuting with the air - conditioning on, the energy consumption can basically stay stable at 11 - 12 kWh/100 km. The WLTP range achievement rate can reach 1:1, which is very impressive. At the current temperature, if I drive normally without slamming on the accelerator, it's absolutely no problem to drive 550 km on a full charge. It has a much more reliable range than the old P7, completely relieving my previous range anxiety.
¡¾Charging Time¡¿
The charging speed has been significantly improved. Although the super - charging station I often go to doesn't have ultra - fast charging piles yet, so I haven't experienced the ultra - fast charging that only takes about ten minutes from 10% to 80%, the performance of the P7+ that can fully utilize whatever charging power is available already satisfies me a lot. Usually, it takes about half an hour to charge from 30% to 100%, which is nearly half as fast as the old P7. Usually, I can replenish a large amount of power while going to the supermarket to buy something. It's very convenient.
¡¾Intelligent Cockpit¡¿
The improvement in comfort is remarkable. The configuration of the seats throughout the car is top - notch. They have heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Moreover, the seat padding is of moderate softness and hardness, and the wrapping is also very good. I don't feel sore in my back and waist even after sitting for a long time. The headroom is also more spacious than that of the old P7. After adjusting to a proper sitting position in the driver's seat, there is still more than a fist's distance between my head and the roof. I don't feel cramped at all. The comfort of the old P7 was actually quite good, but after switching to the P7+, I can clearly feel that the comfort has reached a new level. Whether it's for daily commuting or weekend outings with family, the experience is much better.
¡¾Space Performance¡¿
The space is really large. I have a child at home. After installing a baby safety seat in the back row, I specifically sat in it to experience. There is absolutely no sense of crampedness, and the child can move around more freely in the safety seat. Needless to say about the front passenger seat. With my height of 178 cm, my legs can be fully stretched when sitting in it. I won't feel sore in the back of my knees during long - distance trips anymore. The trunk space is also very capacious. The baby stroller, toys, spare clothes, and some sundries I need to take when going out with the baby can be easily stuffed in without any pressure. It can hold much more than the trunk of the old P7.

I test-drove the car on the first day, placed an order on the second day, and picked up the car three days later. The process was so fast without any hesitation. This is my second car, switching from a gasoline car to an electric one. As an old driver who has driven gasoline cars for several years, the feeling of switching to an electric car is really great!! The overall smoothness of the handling is extremely high, and I don't have to worry about gas fees anymore. It's really a joy~
I have to say that the purple color looks really nice. It's paired with the interior in "Astral Gray" (white). Here I'd like to share my real experience as a female driver using the XPENG P7+ and some of its pros and cons for your reference~
¡¾Pros¡¿
1. The space is extremely large. When I sit in the back row, there's a space of four fists in front of my legs. The interior has good texture with standard Nappa leather seats, and all seats come with standard massage, ventilation, and heating functions.
2. The car has a high aesthetic appeal. It's independently designed with a unique style and features.
3. The intelligent driving system is smart, not the "dumb" kind. Compared with cars in the same price range, its intelligent driving level is leading, and the urban intelligent driving reacts quickly. I feel quite at ease using it during my commute from work, but I still keep my eyes on it all the time.
4. It has a fragrance system. At first, I thought it was useless, but!! When driving, the nice smell makes me feel in an excellent state!! I'm in love with it!
5. It has a long range. I chose the long-range 615km Max version. With the air - conditioning on full blast in summer and without activating the energy recovery system, it can actually run about 495km, which is more than enough for me. It comes with a standard electric trunk, and the rear seats can also be adjusted electrically.
6. The rear seats can be fully folded down, creating a large space where you can lie down and watch the stars in the car~ It's suitable for young people!
7. There are small screens and table boards in the back row. These two features are very practical for families with kids and are definitely reliable for family use.
8. The automatic parking function is very useful. The car is 5 meters long. I really couldn't do without it, hhh... It reacts quickly and parks the car well.
9. The suspension is adjusted to be very soft (as a female driver, I really don't know how to describe it precisely). When passing over uneven roads, the car remains stable inside, with a kind of bouncy feeling.

Speaking of which, I'm quite satisfied with the overall experience after switching to the XPeng P7+. However, there's one thing I'd like to mention. The in - car data plan isn't quite enough. Around the 10th of each month, the data is running low. Sometimes, I have to be very careful when I want to listen to music or use the navigation. It would be great if they could offer more data.
Actually, I didn't plan to change my car at first. The Audi Q3 I used to drive was quite easy to handle and performed well in all aspects. But since I'm in Shenzhen and need a Yue B license plate, and it's relatively easier to apply for a new - energy vehicle license. After weighing the pros and cons, I decided to switch to an electric car and finally chose the XPeng P7+.
When I was choosing it, the appearance was the first thing that attracted me. The design is very stylish and it looks great. Moreover, the interior space is quite spacious. My family members all said it was good after taking a ride in it. Even as a woman, I find it very easy to drive and there's little pressure in handling it.
Now, let's talk about the intelligent technology. This is a big difference compared with the Audi Q3. The XPeng P7+ has many intelligent features that I never experienced when I drove the Audi. For example, the assisted driving system is very useful. It can save a lot of effort when driving on the highway or in traffic jams. The voice control is also very sensitive. I just need to say a word if I want to adjust the air - conditioning or change a song. It's extremely convenient. These intelligent configurations have added a lot to my driving experience. I drive the Audi much less now.
The driving experience exceeded my expectations. When I step on the accelerator, the power response is very fast. There's an immediate sense of acceleration, and the acceleration process is very smooth. The overall handling is much smoother than that of the Audi Q3, and it's very comfortable to drive.
I don't have to worry about the battery range at all. I bought the version with a range of 725 kilometers. In reality, it can run about 590 kilometers after a full charge. For my daily commute on weekdays and occasional trips back to Huizhou on weekends, charging the car once a week is enough. I've completely bid farewell to range anxiety.
I'm also quite satisfied with the charging speed. I've tried fast - charging. It only takes about 30 minutes to charge from a remaining range of 100 kilometers to 600 kilometers. If I use home - charging, it takes about 9 hours to fully charge the car, and the electricity cost is very low. It only costs a few cents per kilowatt - hour, and it only costs about 30 yuan to fully charge the car once. This is much more cost - effective than when I used to drive a gasoline - powered car.
