Review A

[Least Satisfied]
As an off-road vehicle, the rear space is indeed a bit small, but it's enough for basic off-road rear seating. It's a bit of a struggle to cross your legs; maybe it's more convenient for women.

[Purchasing Experience]
I've always wanted to buy an off-road vehicle. I looked at several popular models currently, like the Land Rover Defender. Among domestic ones, there are the Mengshi and Tank. I compared them all. My wife prefers the U8; the interior is much better than the other models. Also, we have a kid at home, and the rear entertainment screen is something the child really likes.

[Car Pickup Price]
Before buying, I watched many live streams. The price is basicallyͳһ across the country. However, I heard there's a trade-in discount, but usually, it's the normal guide price with no discounts.

[Driving Experience]
The acceleration isÌرð fast, with strong pushing-back feeling. The vehicle body is relatively high, but with the hydraulic suspension, it can basically enter underground garages with a height limit of 2.1 meters. It's quite hot these days, and the seat ventilation is×öµÃÌرð well. Here, I especially want to praise the refrigerator's delayed power-off function. Since I like drinking ice water in summer, this is completely problem-free. The chassis is a bit stiff, but it's okay; after all, it's a hardcore off-road vehicle. For daily use, when I drive on the highway, the fuel consumption is around 13-14 liters. I usually add 92-octane gasoline. In the urban area, it's about 8.9 liters per 100 kilometers, and when I drive in the city, I basically use electricity.

[Highlight Configurations]
With the million-yuan configuration, it's fully loaded. Compared to imported models that require various optional configurations, the U8 basically handles all the details very well, with leather wrapping and wool floor mats. However, when getting the car washed outside, you need to remind the car washers about these floor mats. Otherwise, if you like listening to music, the sound effect is good. My wife likes listening to music very much; I don't have high demands in this aspect.

[Riding Experience]
Seat ventilation, heating, and massage, intelligent follow-up seats, and intelligent headrests are all quite good for me.

Review B

I basically waited until the flowers wilted before I could pick up the car, but I was very satisfied when I did. The brand did resolve quite a few of the issues I previously raised, but there are still many details that need optimization. The exterior is²»ÓÃ˵, very imposing, and the "Ding" design language is a fresh take on new Chinese style.

As for the interior, the production line hasn't expanded to offer that many configurations yet, but it's already pretty good for now. The space is also more than sufficient. In terms of range, the fuel tank can hold 70 liters when full, plus the battery, so driving 800 kilometers is definitely no problem, which is very¹»ÓÃ. In Yunnan where there are many downhill roads, the electricity meter might even reverse.

Looking at the configuration alone, it's really sold cheaply for this price point¡ªI successfully got a bargain. It might even increase in price against the market later. It has everything you can think of and things you can't, with the hardware configuration maxed out. Now we just have to wait for OTA to optimize some details.

The handling is excellent, and there's more than enough power. The road performance is²»ÓÃ˵, and it also has the best transmission (which is no transmission at all). Basically, even the best transmissions can't avoid low-speed¶ٴì, after all, if the gear ratios are too close, high-speed performance suffers. With 4 motors delivering 1200 horsepower, you basically don't need to floor it; the¿ÉÍæÐÔ is very high.

The extended-range system perfectly solves the poor range of electric cars and the electricity usage limitations of fuel cars; it's the optimal solution for the current stage.

The sound system is really good. After adjusting it properly, I feel it's even better than my previous big BEOPLAY. For tuning the sound, it would be much better to add presets or have professionals adjust it and integrate it into the Dynaudio controls. But the sound quality is very high; even with a casual adjustment, it's basically a mobile home HIFI room.

Let's see if the rear privacy sunshades can be arranged. This is still very important. Although it's an off-road vehicle, not a business car, adding manual sunshades might be better and wouldn't affect the overall structure and reliability.

Anyway, it's basically a very satisfying car, but many details in the service still need a lot of refinement. Let time tell everything. Yangwang, keep going!

Review C

Overall, I am very satisfied; it's worth the price. The appearance is very imposing. As for who it imitates or who it looks like, I haven't researched that. Personally, I think it looks good enough. If the body were longer without considering the spare tire, it might look more proportionate. In terms of handling, I think the Yangwang can rank high in this price range. Compared with the X7, except that the chassis feels stiffer, other aspects are not inferior to the X7. Of course, with such a tall car, there will still be a relatively large sway when turning quickly, which can't be avoided. In terms of power acceleration, it is definitely much stronger than the normal 40i X7, and the sudden acceleration is also very linear. I was originally worried that the brakes of such a heavy car might not be good, but in reality, when driving, there is no feeling of not being able to stop; it's very stable. The visibility is really good. It's just that the rearview mirror camera seems a bit high, basically capturing the roof of the car behind. I don't know if it can be adjusted. There's no need to talk about the interior materials; they are still very luxurious. Although the HUD is large, I think it's not as good as Li Auto's. The angle requirement is too tricky; if you change the angle of your head a little, you can't see it clearly. But the navigation in this HUD is very good, with clear instructions. The sound system is really great. I'm not an audiophile, but listening to this Dynaudio sound is really good. The lights and the so-called starry sky roof are all good. What's particularly praiseworthy is the fragrance system; this is the best smell among all electric cars I think. My wife and daughter are sensitive to smells. Li Auto and HiPhi's fragrance systems make them uncomfortable; they think the smell is strange and pungent. But Yangwang's fragrance is very pleasant to smell. Moreover, there are different scents based on the 24 solar terms, which is great. The car space is large enough. Since I have other cars, I don't have particularly high requirements for space. I'm not an off-road enthusiast and have no off-road needs, so I haven't tested the off-road performance. However, judging from its mechanical configuration, it must be good. I also haven't experienced the in-place U-turn; it seems unnecessary. I originally wanted to compare the intelligent driving with Li Auto, but I can't now... The OTA update won't be available until December; I'll compare it after it's available. The voice control is good, and the screen clarity and smoothness are very high. This car attracts a lot of attention, and many people say that buying it makes you a "bigԩÖÖ (fool)" or "leek (someone easily taken advantage of)". Spending money is to buy happiness. Although money doesn't grow on trees, I didn't use the trolls' money to buy it, right? It's inappropriate to call people "leeks" or "fools". I like traditional culture, and I like the Chinese cultural elements of Yangwang, such as the tripod design, the oracle bone script "µç (electricity)" logo, and the Chinese characters in the interior. The integration of traditional culture is appealing. Everyone has different preferences, but at least BYD is making efforts in this direction. Although a car is functionally just a means of transportation, I regard it more as a companion. People are prone to forgetting; each car may help you recall bits and pieces from a specific period and environment, allowing you to feel those moments again and make yourself feel real. In the late night or early morning, driving Yangwang alone, away from the city lights to a wilderness, looking up at the starry sky that has shined over the Chinese land for a long time, the same starry sky that the ancient sages and we have looked at together¡ªthat feeling is like a spiritual climax. I think I will make a car sticker for the back that says "լ×ÈÖйú£¬ÌìÓÓÖлª (Live in China, may God bless China)". I think under the premise that we don't give up struggling and keep working hard, we should have more confidence in our own culture and Chinese things, and be more tolerant. I will always support Yangwang and hope it gets better and better!
