Competitive Comparison
-
Range and Energy Efficiency: The all-electric range reaches 600km, leading the four comparison models, far exceeding the smart Elf #3 and Skyworth EV6, and even surpassing the 2025 580 Air AWD GT-Line. This effectively alleviates users' range anxiety and makes it suitable for long-distance travel. Power consumption is 15.7kWh per 100km, slightly higher than the smart Elf #3 (14.2kWh/100km) and Skyworth EV6 (14.5kWh/100km). However, considering its larger body size and seven-seat layout, this energy consumption level is still within a reasonable and acceptable range, ensuring economical use.
-
Charging Performance: Fast charging takes 0.5 hours and slow charging takes 13.68 hours. This fast charging time is the same as the Smart Elf #3. In comparison, the Skyworth EV6 fast charges in just 0.13 hours, giving it a slight advantage in terms of speed. However, the Tang EV's fast charging speed can still meet users' daily needs for quick recharging. While slow charging takes longer, users with nighttime charging conditions can take advantage of off-peak electricity prices and reduce vehicle costs.
-
Spacious and Practical: Measuring 4900x1950x1725mm, the SUV is the longest and widest of the four models, creating a spacious interior that better meets the travel needs of large families. The luggage compartment has a volume of 940-1655L, offering excellent expandability, far exceeding that of the other three models. Whether it's daily family shopping or carrying luggage on long-distance trips, the SUV can easily accommodate these needs.
-
Power: Maximum power is 168 kW, similar to the Skyworth EV6, but weaker than the Smart Elf #3 and the 2025 580 Air AWD GT-Line (233 kW, 480 Nm). However, for family use, this power output is sufficient, providing a smooth and comfortable driving experience, meeting the needs of daily urban and highway driving.
-
Specifications: Featuring leather seats, a rearview camera, 360-degree panoramic camera, a transparent camera, an openable panoramic sunroof, 12 speakers, and three-zone air conditioning, the vehicle boasts a rich and practical configuration. Overall, it perfectly meets the needs of daily family commutes, long-distance trips, and group outings, providing users with a convenient and comfortable driving experience.
-
Battery and Energy Consumption: The battery capacity is 90.3kWh. The larger battery capacity provides strong support for its long driving range, ensuring that the vehicle has a longer driving range.
Summary: The BYD Tang EV 2024 Honor Edition 600KM Premium Edition has strong comprehensive strength, with outstanding advantages in terms of battery life, space, and configuration richness. It is very suitable for family users who pursue large space, long battery life, and rich and comfortable configurations. It can well meet the diversified car use needs of family daily travel, long-distance travel, etc.

Positive Reviews
Sufficient power
-
"The 2022 Tang EV's kinetic energy recovery offers two levels of adjustment. In standard mode, when you release the accelerator, the drag from the regenerative braking is minimal, making the experience more like a coasting gasoline vehicle. In stronger mode, braking force is significantly increased, but the overall braking process is relatively linear. The front McPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension are relatively conventional, with the overall vehicle tuning leaning towards firmness. The initial suspension stage is able to filter out minor vibrations. When going over speed bumps or ditches, there are two "thumps," and the chassis's tautness and quality are highly praised."
-
"Equipped with dual front and rear electric motors, the car boasts a maximum power of 380kW and a peak torque of 680N·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds on a full charge, an exceptional performance for its price. It takes off briskly in everyday driving, yet feels effortless without any jerking, making it very easy to master. The accelerator pedal feels light, and the power delivery is linear, making overtaking in urban areas and on the highway a breeze. Deeply pressing the accelerator also provides a pleasant sense of pushback, especially after the pedal travel exceeds halfway, when the power delivery becomes noticeably more explosive. Engaging Sport mode provides exceptional acceleration."
Large space
-
"The 2-3-2 seating layout allows for flexible switching between 5- and 7-seater seating. Space is highly practical. A 1.7-meter-tall passenger has approximately one and a half fists of legroom in the second row, while the third row also has nearly one fist of legroom, ensuring comfortable long rides. In the five-seat configuration, second-row legroom reaches approximately two and a half fists, which is expected for a mid-size SUV."
-
"The space is large enough. By folding down the middle and back rows, two people can sleep comfortably. If you only fold down the third row, the trunk is quite large and the baby's toy car can be stuffed in."
Rich configuration
-
"Hao's first impression of the interior was simply "premium." The standard 15.6-inch central control screen, which rotates 90 degrees, greatly enhances the car's practicality; both its responsiveness and image clarity are satisfactory. The car's DiLink 4.0 system and 5G support allow it to be used like a large-screen Android phone. The BYD Tang EV remains impressively equipped, with approximately 80% of its features standard across the board. These include active braking, lane keeping, a 360-degree panoramic rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, and remote parking, forming a comprehensive suite of safety features that meet the requirements of a Level 2 driver assistance system. Additionally, the car boasts luxurious comforts such as leather seats, heated and ventilated seats, and a 12-speaker Dynaudio audio system."
-
"Almost perfect, with everything it needs. The only downside is that the car's computer system is a bit restrictive. The 4.0 wake-up word function works, but it also coexists with Xiaodi. The wiper control is a bit complicated, and the turn signal adjustment damping isn't perfect."
Negative Reviews
Configuration is not practical
-
"The white car has a beautiful and exquisite appearance, and the paint is thick and shiny. The paint smell is light inside and outside, especially because the interior is almost odorless. I bought a charcoal bag to remove formaldehyde before, but I didn't put it in the car at all. Unfortunately, the interior space layout is a bit disappointing, especially the trunk setting, which is completely useless!"
-
"In terms of configuration, the front suspension may not be up to par, and the rear seat riding experience may also be poor, but the 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.4 does make some BBA riders who encounter it dissatisfied."
Small trunk space
-
"The front two rows of seats are heated for added comfort. The rear seats are comfortable for both children and adults. The downside is the trunk space is a bit small, and it would be better if it were 10cm longer."
-
"The car's acceleration is sufficient for family use, and the overall space can be rated 8.5 points. For example, my family is all under 1.7 meters tall, so as long as the second row is adjusted, the back row is also spacious. When the car is fully occupied by 6 people, the trunk is definitely very small, but it is no problem when the back row is not in use."
There is an unusual sound
-
"There is still a slight noticeable nodding (rocking back and forth) when braking, even with very light braking pressure. Sometimes the brakes make unusual noises, and there are "clicking" and "clanging" sounds when coming to a complete stop at a traffic light."
-
"The interior is a bit noisy, the tire noise is a bit loud, and the turning radius is a bit large. At this price, the Tang is relatively good. I'm mainly attracted by the large battery. I hope the battery life can be more reliable. If there is room for improvement in the tire noise, it would be great to upgrade it later!"
